What the heck happened to his eyes? Look at it from the front, they are looking in different directions and they are crazy uneven now. One is popping out and one is set in? I know he's a mutant but yeesh.

Aw, don't make fun. It's the promotional figure, not the production run. (I think...) It's clear that they had a last-minute run to the local Japanese craft store to get some Googly Eyes... When and if I get mine, I'll let you all know if the eyeballs do indeed roll around inside.

It is an odd one and the articulation is never super great on those things anyway, IMHO.

I like the sculpt and articulation, but the paint is a let down for me. A big appeal of the Shin design is the vibrant reds throughout his body and they look more subdued than the prototype. NECA's may not be as accurately sculpted or articulated, but their proto paint job is right on for what I'm after.

I don't think the tail tapers enough either. That being said, if this showed up in Barnes & Noble tomorrow, I'd probably still buy it. Lol!
