The beauty of the Godzilla franchise is there are a great many films and designs where everyone can have favorites and differing tastes. I know I'm quite alone in my love for Godzilla '84 but it doesn't change that it's my favorite design of Godzilla.

I don't care if anyone thinks Godzilla 2014 is a GINO, I have my feelings about the design and the movie and I share them but I wouldn't try to insists someone couldn't feel otherwise.

No one's tryin' to do that.
It's the opposite, actually - people gettin' all worked up over someone callin' GINO14 a GINO. :lol
It was an interesting discussion tho. Glad I brought it up.

I'm glad too, I'm actually getting excited about the 2014 film and the upcoming sequels again, the hype around Shin was so abundant that there was a lot to get into and enjoy with that in the gap between 1 and 2, but now my sites are setting back on the MonsterVerse.

You're not alone! Godzilla '84 is probably my favorite design as well. I love that movie.

I really need to get back to finishing my repaint, it’s been taking so much that I took some time off for other projects but I really want him to be done and displayed.

The new variant looks nice, but it feels like too simple a paint job for the size of it.

Other than fine texture, I think there's actually quite a lot of detail on the Monster King Series figures. The problem for me is that this one is a premium with a higher cost because of how it's released, if it had cost the same as the original MKS figure, I'd have been tempted to get it and do another repaint.

I got the MKS for a little under $50 shipped. I had the MMS final battle on preorder at one point but would have cost close to same and I like the atomic breath head pose but not enough to spend the prices the vinyls are coming in at.

Right now I’m looking at saving for X-Plus Kong and eventual merchandise for Godzilla 2.

I recently picked up the X-Plus Mechagodzilla 75. It is a fantastic figure but I thought it could use a paint upgrade. I damaged it up a lot to fit in with the “crunched up” sculpt on the armor, and gave it a more metallic look. Not done yet. IMG_5446.JPGIMG_5447.JPG

Found me a shin thanks to another member here. But now I'm wondering if anybody might have a 1998 supreme American Godzilla? Yeah I know he sucks, but I'm gonna ask anyways.

“All hail the King.”

In the 2017 film Kong: Skull Island a group of explorers visit an uncharted island in the Pacific and battle terrifying monsters including the 100-foot-tall guardian of the island – Kong.
This soft vinyl statue stands 34 cm (13.78 inches) tall and features the mighty king of Skull Island in a defiant pose. The meticulous paint job, sculpted fur and authentic likeness recreate the huge ape in extreme detail.

The Limited Edition Deluxe Version has Kong displayed in a diorama base featuring the Skull Island landscape, holding the helicopter he just grabbed out of the air.
Shipping in July 2018, this is the Kong you’ve been waiting for!

This really looks fantastic. I just rewatched the movie and thoroughly enjoyed it. I’m liking this new Monsterverse. I think I’m going to wait and see what he looks like when he’s older and larger in Godzilla vs Kong before getting an “X-Plus” figure of him.

hell yes to the deluxe edition. Been a while since I got an X-plus vinyl. I am totally on board with this Kong deluxe version. Thanks for sharing!!

I like it but not sure if the deluxe is worth $40 more. The hand is just slightly more closed to be able to fit the helicopter in there and not an alternate hand/arm right?

Skull island was fantastic.

Godzilla (2014), four years later...still a turd!

I like this statue...looks pretty good

My opinion was opposite. Skull Island was but a CGI fest which is even inferior to King Kong 2005.

G2014 is decent and started Monsterverse. Its characters and drama were meh but in all technical aspect it's fantastic. Just needed big screen and nice amplifier to be fully appreciate though.
