The JAKKS 6” scale Ghidorah is going to be $15, not bad in today’s market, $10 less than a standard NECA and about half as nice.

Well yeah for $15 you can't go wrong.

JAKKS prices are shockingly low, and it seems like you get solid value. $20 for a 12” tall Godzilla as nice as theirs seems like a steal, $10 for a 2 pack of 4” scale monsters is incredible in a market where a lone Star Wars figure at that scale costs almost as much.

April is going to be an exciting month.

I’m thinking about going all in on the kaiju cast of Ghidrah the Three-Headed Monster (1964) in X-plus 25cm form. I know ‘64 Rodan is available via Diamond reissue, Ghidorah is up for preorder, and Godzilla has been teased. Is there any word on a ‘64 Mothra larva? I read that it was a Ric exclusive to the original Rodan release in Japan. I’d hate to get the big three but be shortchanged on the monster that convinced Rodan and Godzilla to actually join the fight against the space demon!

Really very little chance of getting a Mothra larva released by itself. It happened once very early on.

HD pics of the Bandai MMS vinyls, have to say, Ghidorah is looking far more detailed than the JAKKS version and moving up to front runner as my fill in for lack of NECA figure.

Here’s a shot of NECA 2014 with JAKKS Ghidorah, as expected not film scale but will probably be ok, for some reason they have Godzilla’s legs very straight making him taller than a more accurate pose.

While the new Bandai sculpts are gorgeous, their paint apps worsen with each year. I didn't think it could get much worse after their 2014 Godzilla, but that one now looks like a masterpiece.

Love the blue fins on the 2019, though. I just wish they at least painted the claws and tongue.

Yeah, their Shin Godzilla's had some of the most accurate sculpt work of any Shin product, just wasted with a basic paint job, though Shin is a tough one to paint for anybody.

The scales on that Ghidorah should really pop with some good drybrushing.

I ordered the Bandai King Ghidorah as well, in light of the NECA response. A nice gold drybrush will help it. The Rodan and Mothra I would go Neca. Rodan especially.

Yea, I wanna say they had an unpainted one shown at one of the Wonder Fests last year. Can't remember which one though.

That new NECA looks much better. I have the first one and didn't really like it at all, glad it's an improvement.

Best I can tell, neck, chest, torso, tail and feet all all new, the head, thighs, calves, and the entire arms look recycled.
