One theory that I do find interesting is that

Noriko was exposed to Godzilla DNA (G-Cells per previous Godzilla movies) and the infection might have helped her survive/regenerate from her injuries.

Hey, that would make Norika a mutant, akin to Wolverine. I just thought of a way to save the MCU - Can you say crossover? :lol
Which was where Shin was heading with their narrative! :horror

I wonder if she might start communicating with Mothra :panic:

It's a very bleak ending. All the men near that much radiation will likely die. The chick at the end will probably mutate into something horrible akin to Biolante. I'm seeing it again tomorrow. People are telling me the black on her neck was not moving. I say it was.

It was absolutely crawling up her neck you are correct!

I had heard no post credits scene, but I stayed the whole time anyway, needed it to settle down before walking out of the theater.

I read the 14th, one extra week, but yeah, seems like some theaters are extending it due to the success. At this rate, the US alone will have covered the cost of the film.

This is definitely my TGM and The Batman of 2024 I seriously need a steelbook of this movie that shouldn’t even exist.
Holy crap I just remembered that Godzilla vs. Biollante came out in...1989.

That means that the battle for 1989 was not won by The Little Mermaid or Indiana Jones or Keaton Batman but by...TOHO GODZILLA. :google :thud:

You're so right, how does this movie even exist???

A Robert Pattinson Batman, a sequel to Top Gun and a $15 million Godzilla movie ended up being three of the best films of this current century. :thud:

Back from viewing #2. OK, the black stuff under Noriko's skin was definitely moving up her neck. My son loved the movie and agrees with the theory that the infection helped her survive/regenerate.....from what was likely red mist based on the devastation from the shock wave after Godzilla unleashed his atomic blast. He's got a point lol. And while he thinks hands down this has better characters and a better story he didn't immediately put this above Shin Godzilla on his list for sheer enjoyment. Looks like I'm going to need to find a copy of that ASAP & watch it after all lol...

p.s. - No watery eyes this time. Knowing what was coming definitely lessened the emotional impact for me but it was still a lot of fun, especially seeing how much my son enjoyed it. I was a bit worried I'd overhyped it but it more than lived up to his expectations.
