We're flying out on Dec 25 and spending 2 weeks there. We already have tickets to the ghost tour! :rock

We are flying into Glasgow, and will be heading west to the island of Islay for some whisky distilleries. Then head south into Dumfries for some castles, and then up to Edinburgh for the ghost tour, and New Years. Then up north for more distilleries where we will be spending two nights in a Castle (apparently haunted)

in terms of food, one traditional scottish delicacy is a deep fried ''battered'' mars bar. and you need to try some black pudding and tattie scone butties

I never have & never will eat one of those :lol

You should try black pudding, tattie scone, haggis & lorne sausage though

it's surprisingly tasty, you should eat one at least, it's just like a banana fritter, but with caramel and choc instead of banana!

as if a mars bar wasn't unhealthy enough, people want it deep fried in batter :lol:lol:lol
I was in my local chip shop and the neds were making there way along the sweet selection asking them to deep fry it in batter. one had a deep fried bounty bar & another had a deep fried snicker :lol

Irn Bru....the nectar of the gods :D

yeah ya gotta drink a soft drink called irn bru as well

Several American companies import Irn-Bru; yet, it is currently listed as a banned substance by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA

:monkey2:monkey2 It sounded good too. Perhaps it rots your brains...that could explain a lot
