I know I am ashamed. I set my alarm for 12:55est but woke up a little after 2:00. I guess I turned my alarm off in my sleep through habit. I was prepared to get on the waitlist but I give thanks to the servers today for acting up & buying me some time. :chew

This was the worst pre-order experience I ever had. 26 minutes just to load the PPO page! Finally snagged one @10:28.

SSC server n/a till 22 after, and to make matters worse once I clicked the order button, it kicked out like 4 times in a row. This was an unmitigated disaster, even worse than The SDCC Luke, at least then, the order page never loaded until it sold out 10 minutes after offered.

Dusty, you guys have to take care of this nightmare! Maybe give some of us SSC Customers who helped build your company a PPO pre-order VIP window.

Anyway I feel lucky and that should not have happened as I was trying to log into the web site @ 9:55.

One (or maybe two, I'm not 100% sure) of the servers' fans actually exploded. No, I'm not kidding. (We're trying to get a photo of it from our techs to show the evidence!) That's why it's taking so long...

Kind of sounds like my experience last year, trying to order the SDCC Luke. Just the big white screen, then when it finally came up---SOLD OUT!! Hopefully there are a LOT more to go around this time...

I bet they don't have the amount up because they are going to increase the amount available as much as they can.

Exactly! I think it will be hard to call this one SDCC "exclusive", my bet is up to 2500 of these babies are going to people who will be nowhere near California in July....or whenever it is.

And WHY did they blow up may I ask? Is it because their servers couldn't handle the traffic? And if that is so and this has been the case for a number of Priority Pre-Orders why was it not remedied BEFORE the Priority Pre -Orders were being taken. Business is business and serving your clientele means making sure your equipment can serve your customers conveneintly and efficiently. It is obvious their servers don't and also obvious when hi-demand product is being offered there is a problem. Why do two fans suddenly blow-up during a Star Wars Exclusive Pre-order DO YOU THINK?

GET REAL, man, the warning signs were posted many times long ago with SSC Server problems and it will only GET WORSE when new product which is in MUCH HIGHER DEMAND, like Darth Vader, Maul, Fett, etc are offered. So get off your high horse and face the facts because this is a serious problem which needs to be dealt with or there'll be A WHOLE LOT MORE BITCHIN GOING ON, Dude.

There hasn't been any issues for quite some time now with the servers because they added some so there was no need to remidy the situation before today. This problem needs to be dealt with and it needs to be corrected before it gets worse because it will adversely affect many of their customers, that's all I was saying before you brought it to a different level which I won't dignify any further. I'm sure they are very well aware of it. What they need to do to correct it before that happens is their prerogative.

I have no doubts they will fix it so that it doesn't happen again or the chances are greatly reduced.
