They said he would likely be third in the line if the series takes off well enough. Scarier versions of Croc, Freeze, Clayface, Mad Hatter, and Ra’s Al Ghul could be really cool.

yeah, and with so many people that seem to be iffy about investing in the line waiting for the reveal, it seems an odd choice to drag it out.

This line is going to be one of those "eye of the beholder" lines because it's art. Not that the other lines aren't art, but they are based on an established fan base. This is new and that creativity may not sit well with many collectors. Some just like the attachment to a particular book or movie because they enjoyed those things as well. There's no point to link to here except a concept. It's a concept I love but when it comes to hundreds of dollars, others may be more discriminating. I can understand that. I'm thinking the same thing happened with the Artgerm line. I like one of those statues enough to pull the trigger, but not all three. And since they aren't selling like crazy, I doubt we'll see more of them (though looking at the bases the line seemed finite at three statues testing the market anyway). I'd be interested to know how many people are holding off on buying Batman until they see a full Joker reveal. Do you think it's a significant number that could make or break this line? Personally, I doubt it. I want this line to do well and get more characters, but the reality is that it's firmly grounded in the "art" side of things and without something else in pop culture (book, movie, cartoon, etc) to support it, I doubt it would get enough traction to go past 4 characters imo. I want it to, but sadly I'm not seeing the hype that would support that from a business stand point.

Sideshow really isn’t giving this line it’s A effort by having the two companion pieces spaced so far a part. I think many have been waiting to order Batman to see how Joker turns out first. Batman might ship before we even get to order Joker! They easily could have helped sell each other up had they been closer together.

Still blows me away that the first villain was NOT Scarecrow. No other villain would fit the nightmare theme better than Scarecrow, and yet we got Joker.

The problem is that no one at Sideshow seems to understand simple marketing. This line is not the only one suffering slow sales due to the lack of information on companion pieces. I'm holding off on a few things because of this reason.

You are absolutely right and like I said in my other post, SS does not understand simple marketing. This is a perfect example.
