Yeah, we'll know when they show up I guess. I know people have started to actually get them. I'm just not one of them yet.

there has been breakage reports...Wings are bagged and not packed great

I have been getting the FanEx stuff since the very beginning and I think with most of them the tracking numbers have been hit or miss with the initial wave of shipments. Sometimes people would get the tracking a day or two after their order arrived. Mine have not arrived yet but from what I have read and seen be very careful taking them out of the package. The original wave of cows, the queen and her guards and the wave of Scarabuses (Scarabi? sp?) were all really sturdy but the elephant wave suffered from quality control so far the birds seem to be in between and from what I have heard a lot of it is due to paint sealing the joints.

My guess is with all the packages they are sending it is too much work for them to get them out in time. They must be getting them they just aren't logging them into the system for us to get emails.

I would log into their boards but I forgot my password and they haven't sent me a new one yet. I am betting they are kind of busy right now so it might be a few weeks for me to get a new one emailed to me.

From what I can tell there doesn't seem to be too much of a rhyme or reason in the order they shipped them out either. I have heard of people in different states and with different types of orders getting theirs with friends in the same city not seeing theirs yet. Maybe it is based on when you submitted the kickstrater survey. I am hoping mine arrive this week. Before the kids and wife are off for winter break otherwise they are going to be staring at one huge box all day long and I will get hammered with all kinds of questions since it is around Christmas time.

i'm more worried, because i'm going on vacation in a few days, and will be gone for two weeks.. i don't want my box sitting on the porch that long.

3 out of 4 of my figures are broken... arg...

Is it joint breakage from getting them out of the packages or was it from trying to pose them?

Just curious (and worried) since mine are coming, hopefully real soon. Hopefully they have saved some replacement stock and hopefully your story is a rarity and not the norm.

They shared the two following notices on joint issues:

ATTENTION: BEFORE USING YOUR GOTHITROPOLIS: RAVENS FIGURES, PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING:

WHEN YOU RECEIVE YOUR SHIPMENT OF GOTHITROPOLIS: RAVENS FIGURES, PLEASE BE CAREFUL BENDING ANY OF THE FIGURE'S JOINTS FOR THE FIRST TIME - Before forcing any joint to bend for the first time, please use care and possibly even heat up the joint with a blow dryer for a few seconds (a quick dip in hot water also works). The warmth will loosen the joint which will allow the brand new factory fresh joint free movement. Failure to follow these directions could result in damage to your Gothitropolis: Ravens figures. If needed, re-heat any stiff joints until they reach the desired level of flexibility.

If you have any issues with the Gothitropolis: Ravens figures after you receive them, please contact us by private message here through Kickstarter or by emailing us at our studio email address - [email protected]

We'll do our best to rectify any issues as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

With the cold weather, I'll probably just leave my Ravens at room temp before even attempting to take them out of the package and then hot box them, too. Not ideal, but I'm going to try my best to avoid breakage. If it's caused by a lot of air bubbles in the plastic, or something, as seemed to be the case on their forums with the reported breakage, than that's a bad sign. Hopefully it's not widespread.

Most of my issues came from trying to free up stuck joints.

Minotaur - Right ankle broke trying to free from excess paint.
Rooster - The pin on his left foot doesn't go all the way through and leaves large gap in the articulation. Left thigh rotation is frozen.
Buzzard - Left thigh rotation is frozen, hip joint broke trying to free.

I was able to get the thigh on the Rooster to rotate, but it involved taking the legs off, holding the top part with pliers and twisting very hard. I was certain it was going to break, but it didn't.

Crap. Again I feel bad for you and hopefully they can replace them.

I was planning on giving my son my 2nd Duck for Christmas but now I might change my mind because there is no way he is going to carefully open and heat the figure 1st he's 6 so it's go time once he unwraps it.

On one hand, at least it's not air bubbles. On the other hand... yikes. Did you heat them up and they still broke?

I used heat on the legs, and cold to free up the shoulder cut joint.

BTW, if you want to remove the belt, rather than cutting it, pull the legs away from the torso and they will pop off easily. Then you can slide the belt off.

The only major issue I had was my bone wings being the wrong part on one wing. Messaged them about it.

Otherwise great figures. Did a janky "fix" just so I can take some pics with the wings on right. It looks totally wrong from most angles but I can at least takes some pics and angle him so it looks okay.

Quetz is great too, though the wings are way to heavy to actually be usable which is a bummer. Even with a stand he won't stay upright with the wings on.

I'll probably be selling my minotaur duck whenever they get here

I have two other figures from this line and the Ravens really stand out as being above and beyond what the previous figures were both in terms of paint and articulation. The previous figures have very clean paint but it's nowhere near as complex.

Man, I really regret not having got some of these.

I missed the initial preorder and a few major figures had sold out so I just said f it. Shame they have some issues but I'm sure they'll get sorted.

received mine....these are pretty great...somewhat fragile due to the joints. They hold poses very well...

I cannot get them to stand with the wings at all. Do you have them leaning up against the wall or something?
