Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I found out last night that you can make your characters bump in to each other (I don't know if it's common knowledge). I was trying some stunt jumps with Michael when I came to a jump that required a bike. I tried it with the car anyway then switched to Franklin to do something else. Well, there was a good bike and the jump was only about 4 blocks away, so what the hell, might as well do the jump.

I complete the jump and there is Michael still standing there by the car I used. He says, "Fancy seeing you here. Wanna go get a drink?" I thought that was a nice touch as I assumed when you switched characters, the easy route would be to just make the others disappear off the map.

I then wasted an hour or two messing around, making characters meet, in particular, when one isn't supposed to know the whereabouts of another. They had an interesting conversation. At one point, I used a grenade to kill Trevor in a subway, so I could keep him in my sight until my wanted level went away, to make sure his dead body didn't disappear. I then switched to him and he appeared at the nearest hospital. The hospital visit didn't appear to cost anything.

The subway is a good spot to cause mayhem with minimal police involvement.

The A.I. and programming in terms of behavior is top notch. If you save people from robbery or other issues, besides getting rewarded sometimes, you'll get emails and other gifts from people. I had a guy give me stock that was pretty pricey. Someone else got a car I think.

So it's better to help them out then keeping their cash.

Also if you run into either of the other playable characters and take their car, they'll call you up calling you a$$hole and say something regarding it.

It's also nice to call up your therapist every once in a while even if you're not doing missions. If you've been shooting people or screwing prostitutes, he'll mention all that in the call.

I think it's awesome and a shame at the same time that each character has their own style to dress as. But I wish you could dress them up as you see fit but oh well!

Word. Now I'm scared. Lol anyone know the housing system? Like how many house could you own?
Could you sell a house?
Could you get a tour of the house before you buy it?
Do you lose your wanted lvl if you hide there?
What's the cheapest house with a board to do heists?

Yep, it's those details that make the game seem more like a living world. I wouldn't have thought anything of it if some of those details were missing, but Rockstar went the extra mile.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

I think the reason Rockstar waited 2 weeks to release the online is because they knew it was broken and didn't want lower numbers from game reviewers and websites. Online wouldn't be too much of a problem if characters were saved on hard drives and not the cloud. :-/

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

you can only own one apartment in the game and when you buy another apartment it replaces the previous one and gives you half the money back that you paid for it. all the high and condos and apartments maybe different from the outside but the interiors are exactly the same I found that out last night which is a bummer. my friend bought a $400,000 condo and I bought a $200,000 condo and both of the interiors work exactly the same

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

So is it a good idea to invest a huge amount with Merryweather considering the massive drop they have at the end of the game ?. Will the prices go back up ?. I'm debating putting 99 percent of my cash per character with them and letting it hopefully rise for a few easy million.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

anyone knows how to make fast money?

Y, right trigger (xbox) at the end of a quick, large payout mission. It restarts the mission so you can play it again. Find one that pays 20k or more and just keep playing it and you'll make bank in no time.

Wait , so if I do a heist or any mission again any cash I get adds to my bank balance ?. I didn't think that would be the case.

I know for a fact that if you hide in your safehouse the cops come right in after you. I've tried it a few times after I've lost their line of sight so I could swap clothes. They come almost immediately. Unless that's a "glitch". Lot's of those.

I know I've been having trouble playing online though. Several of the times Sunday I tried TDM I ended up on a team of one vs. everybody else. :cuckoo:

And to prove the point. Some friends and I did this again last night on Violent Duct (the most popular to do this). It pays out $9k. Went into it with a little over 100k, we did it for about 2 hours and I came out with over 600k. The next best mission to do it with is Mixed Up with Coke which you get at level 45 and pays out 18k

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

It's all the 9 yr old COD ********s. You have the passive option though which means no one can kill you.

Re: GTA V - September 17, 2013

So when do I need to invest in the stock market before one of Lester's assassination missions? Before I actually begin the mission or can I do it after speaking with Lester and on the way to the assassination? I hope that makes sense.
