Finally found a replacement Ex in secondary market. This time it turned out much better. The paint was nice and there were no paint chips to report.
#24/750. Glad I could find a good one. The one I had from SS was full of flaws and they couldn't give me a replacement.
Now I need to order WW today

Congrats! I was lucky enough to receive a mint one from day 1. I know just how happy you are to see a mint piece every time you look at your PF.

Somehow SS probably made this GL to go w the Sinestro, which looks perfect... instead of Batman and Superman... Maybe a PF museum pose Green Lantern coming later on

The picture looks good, but in terms of height GL is blown up a bit more. Look at the height lines in the background. I would like to see the true scaled pieces side by side.

Maybe....maybe not. I passed on the original Cap PF because I didn't like the cloth pants. I passed on the Thor PF because he looks like he's wearing a onesie. The original Hulk PFs face reminded me of a gorilla so I passed on that. You know what all of these ICONIC Marvel characters have in common? None of them have been revisited yet in their classic costumes as 1/4 PFs. Do you realize how long ago these were released? Out of all those characters SSC finally teased a new Hulk PF. Know what? I'm not digging ANY of the head sculpts. If they don't make a modern head sculpt for the green PF I'll pass on it as well. This is all a guessing game. We have no idea if or when a new GL PF will be released. If it ever does get released, you have no guarantee that you'll like it. That doesn't mean anyone should buckle and buy the current PF. However, anyone who did pass on this PF may have to prepare themselves for a very loooong wait. I'm still waiting for another classic Cap, Thor, and Dr Doom PF as well as a modern Hulk PF. A new Hulk an Doom PF are finally on the horizon. I just hope I like them.

Although, SSC Reps did say they may revisit GL in the future, they also said it won't be any time soon. If/when it does happen, I hope SSC nails the piece because it's difficult to wait so many years for a statue you want, only to be disappointed when it's finally revealed. That's the combo punch it looks like I'm facing on the new Hulk PF.

That's a very strong possibility. We already have all of the characters I listed above in the form of movie PFs (maquettes) with the exception of Doom. So, it could easily be awhile before we see another classic comic GL PF. As that old Tom Petty song goes...the waiting is the hardest part.

Yeah, that's what I think of whenever I see the piece. It's really not a knock on it. The character is obviously portrayed that way in the early years of his existence and it really is a great sculpt that is very well put together. It just screams quality. However, I grew up on and like the modern Hulk. Give me a raging green modern Hulk PF in full fury and I'll call it a day. I won't need another Hulk PF in my collection. I have the Com and really like it, but it has its issues. It's 1/5 scale, the paint apps aren't even close to being as good as the PFs and then there's the issue of the buzz cut. Even with all that, it's still my favorite SSC Hulk statue until a modern PF I like is released by SSC. The wait continues.

The Hulk comm is a great, great piece. I sold mine last year, but it was a tough decision. He's 1/5, but he's still huge...and I love the action pose.

Yeah, besides his obvious issues (I'm not going to hold scale against him because he was listed as a Com) he's a phenomenal piece. He reminds me a lot of GL. Both of the statues have their fair share of haters but I think both rock and I have them in my collection.

Poor Ryan Reynolds. I have to admit I really liked the GL movie. Unfortunately Reynolds was the only part I didn't like.
I thought Mark Strong as Sinestro was brilliant.

No I don't think they are making another GL movie. It is for a JL movie, he'll have a cameo before that I am sure. Maybe he'll get his own movie if fans like him. Ryan is done as GL that is a fact. But the Rock is only in talks with WB about so nothing official yet.

Well I think so too, but they royally ****ed that up with the GL movie. No one wants to see Ryan as GL, so therefore no one wants to see Hal. At least WB understands that so they can learn from their mistake.
