Green Zone? What kind of name is that for a movie about Jason Bourne in Iraq? It's even directed by Paul Greengrass! :lol

synopsis from film school rejects:
Officially, Green Zone stars Matt Damon as Chief Warrant Officer Roy Miller, an Army man whose specialized skills make him the perfect man to go in and take down the enemy all by himself. After convening with a big time reporter (played by Amy Ryan), Miller sets out to find out what the deal is with her main source, known as Magellan, a sneaky agent who seems to be leading them in all the wrong directions. The flick also stars Greg Kinnear and Brendan Gleeson.

yeah i know what u mean. the whole trailer was trying SO hard to create that jason bourne vibe. stupid studio marketing. i heard this film is much more than an action flick. it's got some serious drama in it. not that u would ever know from the trailer.

anyway, i'm definitely looking forward to this...

I just saw a trailer for this movie this weekend. So long as it avoids political statements ... it looks really good.

Any new information?

It's a present day Hollywood war movie with Matt Damon in it. Hmmmm, what are the chances.

Damon is a political guy -- but his movies usually aren't overtly political. Bourne wasn't. Good Will Hunting wasn't. The Departed and Oceans weren't. The Informant. The Rainmaker. The Good Shephard.

He seems to avoid the political pretty well professionally. Hopefully he will in this movie, as well.

This isn't a Jason Bourne movie! I've seen the trailer on tv several times. This one MIGHT have a tad bit of a political message to it.
