Thats wicked you will love painting it, its an amazing sculpt. The eagle eye is a bit of a pain but I'm sure you will be able to do it no problem with your skills. Thanks again mate I look forward to seeing your one :)

I feel rude asking but what colours do you use for your blue eyes as they are among the best I have seen?

HOW DARE YOU! LOL! Your not being rude at all. Do you use gamesworkshop paint?

If so I start with drawing the eyes with pencil first, to get the position correct. Then base coat the iris with shadow grey which I now i believe is called Fenrisian Grey under the Layer range?. Then using Badab Black wash I coat the whole Iris to make it darker about 2 times with this.

Next layer do a half circle of Shadow grey/Fenrisian Grey. Leave the darker rim around the whole eye.

Next mix Shadow grey/Fenrisian Grey with a tiny bit of white and create a very thin line at the bottom of the half circle and add another half circle at one of the top corners of the Iris. Repeat process with a bit more white in the mix and highlight the half circles.

Finally use Asurmen Blue wash/Drakenholf Nightshade to the iris, you can blob a little more of this wash at the top of eye.
If the eye colour as a more greener hue than add Thraka Green Wash/Coelia Greenshade. Again if the eye is more browny blue than add a brown wash.

Add the pupil and you are set buddy, after a good few coats of varnish.

Hope that helps?

Cheers mate I have never used gamesworkshop paint but I am now going to now. Defo going to try the pencil trick as your eyes are always perfectly round.

So good of you to share your secrets :clap:clap

That is no problem if you use vallejo or Game colour paint these are the same as Gamesworkshop. But the names are different. I'm always happy to help out, at the end of the day I dont think there should be secrets we all have our own technics how we paint, and if I can help people out and share the way I do things then Im always happy to help out!

Great Job mate..

It’s defiantly appreciated :rock

Luckily I work next to a games workshop so I have printed out your recipe and buy the paints tomorrow :lol

You done it again Greggo. Your skills improved leaps and bounds each new work and this Joker really takes the cake. The amount of detail you managed to put into such a tiny figure is astounding.

I am still disappointed that I cannot show others here the amazing job you did with the Miami Blood Specialist head. It's truly one of your finest hours (with many more to come I am sure).

What did you use to paint this then, a strand of hair?! :horror:lol

Awesome stuff!

I got to see Greggo's Butcher today and all I can say is astonishing stuff!

The pictures Greggo has taken certainly do this piece no justice. The eagle eye is seriously impressive in hand! The owner of this is going to be very happy. With the Butcher sculpts being made available again I would confidently say Greggo is your man for this.

CURSE YOU TEDDY!!!!! I was already excited and now you've gone and made it worse. :wink1: It's mine and the anticipation is killing me.

Greggo, I miss your regular updates - I hope you make it back onto the boards again like before - you are a major asset and talent around here!

I haven't heard back on a few pm's, but hope you'll be back cranking out some heads soon.:wave

I haven't heard from Greggo either, so you're not alone there. Hopefully he's just busy with day to day stuff and all is otherwise well with him.

Hey everyone please dont worry I'm still here just very, very busy. Some projects I'm working on I can't show at the moment. Between my work with you guys and Big Chief Studios I'm also juggling family Life. I have also just split up with my fiancee. So Im just sorting stuff out. However we have stayed friends and everything is working. Anyway here is another Rainman paint job I have worked on.
