Funny thing about exclusivity is just like everything else if this world – you get what you pay for. That rule apparently holds true for Microsoft as well. Just to catch you up on things – Microsoft shocked the gaming world a while ago by adding GTA lV to it’s library. Not only that but Microsoft had secured an exclusive DLC for their version of the game as well. With this move they definitely sent a warning shot Sony’s way.
Word has come out stating that the exclusive deal was only for the first two parts of DLC which include “Lost and Damned” and “Gay Tony”. According to PS3 informer. A source close to RockStar has confirmed that there will be two additional DLC packs headed our way and these will definitely see the light of day on the PS3.
The next bit of DLC which is reportedly being titled ”Blood and a Four leaf clover” and will focus on the Irish family Nico helped during the first episode. According to this report the first two DLC packs may also be coming to PS3 in the form of a Blu-Ray disc. The mulitiplatform GTA lV DLC is said to launch in Q1 2010 (which really is after October 2009, fiscal year).

A source close to Rockstar has confirmed to us that the development studio will be releasing two additional dowloadable content packs for Grand Theft Auto IV, that both of them will be coming to the Playstation 3 and Xbox 360, and that one of them will focus on the Irish families that Nico helped in the first episode. This confirms earlier rumors circulating around E3 that Rockstar was planning to release a DLC episode called Blood and a Four Leaf Clover.
Sources from outside of Rockstar have also independently confirmed this report. According to Kaufman Bros. analyst Todd Mitchell, Take-Two and Rockstar are expected to release these two brand new downloadable episodes for Grand Theft Auto IV in fiscal 2010, and are gearing up to release GTA V the following financial year.
Microsoft allegedly paid up to $50 million to support development of two exclusive downloadable episodes for the Xbox 360,The Lost and the Damned and The Ballad of Gay Tony. While Rockstar has been tight lipped about actual sales numbers, it is estimated that Lost and Damned has sold more than 1 million units, making it the number one selling game add-on available on Xbox Live. Following the commercial success and high quality of The Lost and Damned, Rockstar wishes to extend the life of GTA IV as far as possible while it works on the true follow-up.

Back when GTA IV: Lost & dammed was coming out, Geoff from GTTV drilled Rockstar VP
about Museum Peice mission and the Achievment you unlock is called "Impossible Trinity".
Which represents the moment where Nico, Johnny and Luis meets.
Interesting.. :angelsmil

Click on 3rd bar from the end.
Kinda fun to watch.

A Rockstar rep has already said we've seen the last of Liberty City this generation. On top of that, NOBODY guessed "The Lost and Damned" as a title. NOBODY guessed "The Ballad of Gay Tony" as a title.

"Blood and a Four Leaf Clover" was a rumored title for DLC#2 before it was announced as "The Ballad of Gay Tony". By "rumored" I mean "pulled out of some fanboy's ass". It was a false rumor then and it's been re-purposed as a new false fanboy rumor that PS3 owners can cling to.

There are plenty of PS3 fanboys who just flat-out don't believe the first 2 episodes are exclusive in the first place and then there are the ones who have accepted they aren't getting these two and this "Blood and a Four Leaf Clover" nonsense comes from that camp. They can't get the first two but there has to be a third one they CAN get, right? RIGHT?!?!?!?

WRONG.

But hey, the reason I dug up this whole thread is because this time tomorrow I'll be cursing at my clock waiting for Microsoft to put "The Ballad of Gay Tony" on Xbox Live.

Less than 30 hours to go.

I was pissed about the Vice City FM station being exclusive to the "Episodes" disc until it came to light that it was nothing more than a consolation prize for the fact that Rockstar didn't re-license all the songs from GTAIV for the "Episodes" disc.

So yeah, you gain a new station (an admittedly-cool one) but you lose heaps and heaps of music.

One of the awesome perks of the DLC is that the old music carries over and it's also patched backwards so you get all the music (minus the aforementioned Episodes-exclusive music) on all 3 games. The music added for "TLaD" and "TBoGT" is also added to the main game, the old music is still carried over, etc.

GTA FANS that have not played it will (me). Screw what fanboys do.

It's been hard waiting and wondering about this since i'm a huge GTA fan. But the time is almost here.
