Dude from the way i am reading it Frank was being a tad sarcastic when he said $100-200 was a premium price. I reckon this is prob gonna cost more.

Frank correct me if i'm wrong  Awesome work though.

He left out the "or more" bit I said. I have not the slightest idea the cost of one of these. It all depends on the quality and quantity. If its mind blowing, and only two will ever exist, versus, HT quality and 50 exist, these will effect the end price. We could be talking a thousand dollars and up, or 150 bucks.

To me thats a premium. I personally would not be interested in shelling out 200 bucks on a kit that has no paint or assembly done. But I'm lazy and have money allocated to burn on toys.

$100's of dollars!
LOL, don't get me wrong... I would like these too, but $100 for ONE 1/6th facehugger tube is funny to me! :lol

Maybe $100 for a set of three! Maybe.
Even THAT is pushing it IMO.
Considering the cost of materials and the fact that they are un-painted and un-assembled...well. I don't expect the price to be too high. ( +/- the $20 range)

I'm not saying to GIVE them away neither, but $100 +? Really?

These aren't that great but they only cost about $6 each:

^^^i agree.. i've suddenly lost a little interest. i'd pay $100 for a set, but thats pushing it. anymore and its getting in another bracket...$200 i could get a SS predator dio and have change left.

For those of you who have already decided to NOT buy depsite not even having seen the final version. Thanks for the temporary interest anyways.

For the rest of you, hope you approve when ya see it.

Thanks!

I'm still very interested, and I'll be waiting to see the final pics of the kit. Fixing prices before that is getting a little too far ahead of things, at least in my opinion. I want to see what it is and find out how much Huggerkeeper decides to ask for it before I commit to anything, so I'm going to remain hopefully optimistic for the time being.

I'm sure it's not that. We're still waiting on a price from you.

People have been mentioning all sorts of high prices, and despite how cool your facehugger tubes might be... some prices are ridiculously high.

So.... I was't directing it towards you, I was commenting on what others have been suggesting.
I'm still waiting on your pix.

I don't think painting a hugger and wiring up any possible LED source would be that difficult. At this scale, you can get away with alot. :)

And instead of imbedding the hugger in acrylic, how about that stuff you find at Hobby Lobby for making fake flowers look like they are in water? They sell the stuff in kits and while not cheap, it could be the fix some of you are looking for.

And if 100+ sounds high for an unpainted kit, look at it this way.

These will be accurate to the screen used stasis tube (and while I haven't seen the hugger, I'm sure it is going to be nice).
You won't find a better kit with better detail made by someone with Frank's abilities. His stuff is always top notch and he's trustworthy. I've seen similar model kits (garage kit collector range) of this size with the same price.

I hope I don't sound like a shill for Huggerkepper. I'm just telling the truth (I've bought from him before), and I'd really like to see this become a reality. You will not be sorry if it does.

very nice kit. and your paint job rushed or not looks sweet. i've said it before and i will say it again...........there is mucho talent on this board.

I'm definately interested. I was just searching the interent for plans or schematics of the stasis tube when I found this thread.

How much?
