Farewell to the MCU.
So does this movie lead to anything
Even worse, it easily dates a movie for future generations and immediately removes it from ever being considered a timeless classic. Here's the one sentence that destroys ALL stories, scripts and movies under Disney's MCU and Star Wars banners....
"How does that apply to today's issues?"
When execs ask this simple question, they steer the ship for the rocks. This is the question that leads people to believe there is an "agenda" at work. But it is as simple as forcing the above question to be answered.
I don’t buy that for a second. All the best content - Marvel and Star Wars and others - were written with the issues of the day in mind. Stan Lee was telling people off in the 60s for his “woke” agenda of addressing Civil Rights, gender equality, xenophobia, and other issues certain groups complain about still today. Here's the one sentence that destroys ALL stories, scripts and movies under Disney's MCU and Star Wars banners....

Don Cheadle is hard to top.We need a Captain Planet movie. He’s timeless as they come. Mullet and theme song and a diverse cast of characters all joining together to protect the planet
It really is, wow.Farewell to the MCU.
Who is this skinny woman?
Grace Randolph sister!Who is this skinny woman?
Well we know who the hot sister is and it ain’t herGrace Randolph sister!
It wasn't woke back then because culture war pundits with an agenda weren't a thing.I don’t buy that for a second. George Lucas has repeatedly stated the messages of Star Wars were written to address the landscape of the era.
Does that “date” them? Who cares. The best stories of our culture are dated aspects of their time, addressing the issues of the day so future generations can learn from them and hopefully see how far we’ve come.

This always just kind of makes me chuckle, because this stuff was annoying back then too. We just didn’t have social media like today to amplify the discussions."Star Wars was always about the Vietnam war.....yeah....that's the ticket!"
George spouted so much bull **** retroactively decades after the fact that I can't take anything he said after 1978 seriously.
I’m interested, but I was informed Star-Lord doesn’t have his helmet, Drax is covering up all his body and tattoos, Rocket looks like reuse, Mantis v1 is still lightyears away… nothing is really exciting me about these figures or designs. They’re not comic-accurate enough for the comic fan in me, and not unique enough for the MCU display.People are so disinterested in this film no one has bothered to post the new HT Groot figure or the teaser for the whole team (which will likely never be completed of course).
