I think it's great they're bringing her back, I kinda thought they abandoned the character after that one episode she was in before.

I'm also intrigued to see what happens following the last scene in season six and the return of a villain from the comic book series.

That wasn't the real character in that previous episode and it will be a different actress.

Well, there's an open spot for series regular, so perhaps she'll be recurring or even a regular. Hopefully she'll be younger than 19 - it would be interesting to see Clark having to deal with a rebellious teen who has his powers.

Well, his powers PLUS powers he doesn't have yet. That would be interesting, he couldn't stop her, but I wonder how they are going introduce her. Obviously she won't be sent by Jor-El, that was the decoy Supergirl. Probably won't be from the phantom zone, they already did that. I'm all out of ideas of how she will be introduced. If they have her being on Earth the entire time and Clark just not knowing about her, I'm going to be upset. There is a reason he is the LAST son of krypton. Not just the Last son of kryton that we know of before we find another chick from the same planet....

I am glad Smallville is steering clear of the "freak of the week" type of show. That was getting REALLY old. I quite enjoyed the escaped phantom zone villans, and know "bizzaro". Should be an interesting season. Now all they have to do is keep Lana "dead" and I'll be happy. She's just so whiny and useless....

Not to be too off topic, but someone brought to my attention one of Erica Durance's early perfomances in "House of the Dead." If you never watched it but like Lois from Smallville, check it out. :monkey3 Other than that, Its a crappy movie.

As far as Supergirl being in Smallville, all that means is that it will last at least another season. I was worried it would be cancelled soon.

House of the Dead is great in an Ed Wood kind of way. That graveyard shootout is one of the funniest things ever committed to film.

This Supergirl thing sounds like another gimmick to keep the show limping along for one more season. Instead of figuring out what to do with Clark, they keep tossing in other DC heroes to keep the fanboys (myself included) watching. How much longer is he just gonna hang out on the farm?

He's going to hang out on the farm until the series ends. As soon as he moves to Metropolis he becomes Superman and that part the show won't cover.

I think they could introduce Kara similarly to how she was in her recent comic reboot or in the animated series. However the Phantom zone would be the easiest, and considering the show, they'll probably go that route.

As for the series "limping along" - Smallville is the CW's first or second highest rated series. Personally I thought this last season was pretty lame but it was it's highest rated ever.

And Bizzaro seemed to just come out of nowhere - I would never have guessed that was where they were going with Lex's supersoldier program.

Does anyone know if Lex, Michael Rosenbaum, will be renewing his contract or not? I heard he isn't and next season could be his last.

I'm only going to be excited if she is wearing her Supergirl digs! I can accept Clark not wearing the red and blue tights, but Supergirl is only Supergirl in her digs!

I know they can't take him out of Smallville, but do something with him besides having him knock around on the farm waiting for emergencies to pop up.

If Rosenbaum leaves then the show is over as far as I'm concerned. But most shows like this end after 7 seasons anyway.

I agree 100%, both the Luthors are what make the show. They are both so good, I would watch a show just about them. I have a feeling Lex is going to kill his father soon, so it will be just Lex in the near future.

Rosenbaum is making a return as Lex for next season so have no fears.

And I agree, he makes Smallville as good as it is. Without him, the series would bite the bullet. Also, Ms. Durrance needs to show more skin for next season. Hey, I am only typing what we're all thinking.

Ah yes. The episode where Lois played the stripper.......mmmmmmmmmmm....that was glorious television.

Yes, those boots and the booty shorts! I could easily dismiss the fact that a Canadian girl was sporting red, white, and blue, because it looked so good on her!

And also the episode where she gets that love potion on her and falls for Clark. We come to a scene were Martha Kent opens the door to see these thigh high boots, and these amazing thighs that gradually would take us to Erica Durrance's face. I love those episodes that take avantage of such hotness. :)

Don't forget the Bikini in the Aquaman episode.

Perhaps next season Welling will leave and we can have a Lois & Supergirl show?
