****ing love this movie, just watched it again a few hrs ago in awesome blu ray. Can't see how anyone could dislike or not enjoy this film :dunno
My bro liked C. Typhoon he thought the 3 armed buzzsaws were cool. Can't wait for HT to do these.

Well gypsy danger sorta looks like iron man. Maybe they'll make an iron man variant that looks like him.

The 18" Gipsy Danger has a much better sculpt than the 7". The 7" is missing tons of detail.

the only shot we have at a high end line of this movie is Three A. I could see them doing a 12 inch line in the next few years. probably after neca releases there 18 inch line. But I don't think we'd get anything more than Jeagers from Three A.

Watched it with my six year old son. You wouldn't have been able to tell who was more excited during the fight scenes.

Awesome movie!:clap:clap

Well now having watched this movie a third time I've come up with some likes and dislikes from a more reasoned point of view....I got on the hype train for this movie ages ago, found scripts thru sources and was all over this, saw it when it premiered here and freaking loved it. But....

Likes:
-Effing big robots vs as effing big monsters, has been done to death in the past but god damn this is the best yet.

-The visuals...if **** were shot this good no one would be able to afford it, or last long enough....

-The storyline, kinda predictable but the script is very well done for what the movie is.

-The beginning before the title, it just had the perfect soundtrack, great visuals and god damn I was absolutely pumped the first time I saw it and still get pumped on repeat viewings. Then the Knifehead incident and oh man, heart in my throat when Yancy gets yanked from the cockpit.....still amazes me how they can go from such a high to that much of a low in a short period. (I cri evrytiem)

-All round this is still my movie of the year :yess:

Dislikes: (gonna nitpick a tad)
-Not enough footage of the early Jaegers dropping whoopins, I got Tales of Year Zero and I was hoping to see Brawler Yukon beating down for the first time but no, nothing. Devo.

-Kaiju blue isn't expanded on further, toxic *** stuff leaking everywhere from Kaiju blood and it's sorta forgotten about....

-NEEDZ MOAR COYOTE TANGO. No joke, in the prequel comic there was the whole story of Stacker and Tamsin and how Tam blacked out during the mission, they could have shown that when Stacker explained to Rals that he was the only other to finish a mission solo. Devo again.

-That damn chain sword and it's lack of being lead with.
Anyone else think Chainblade when they saw it?

-The visuals....we got the impression of just how damn big everything is right at the start so why the damn shots of Gipsy crushing a car, Bladehead crushing a car, the damn office desk with the *****, the rope stay on the dock being tapped over, etc. Third watching and I groaned when I saw it all again....ugh. Cool the first time, annoying the second, just go away the third.

-This movie could have been half an hour longer and I'd have been happy if they explained more, needs "Marvel One-Shots" of the battles and things they left out IMO.

-That stupid *** wannabe Australian. :slap

Now I could go on more but I don't really want to, still a 9/10 movie for me.

Forgot to add, when Gipsy slices Otachi in half, that's the best damn hero shot I've ever seen!

Make it up in your head or something. Kaiju blue doesn't have anything to do with the story. It's just world building.

This one part is my one problem with the movies that have come out in this genre in this country. The script is pretty lame, but I almost feel like it's done on purpose because the monster movies we all grew up with tend to have lame scripts. But just like how superhero films are expected to have better scripts now I feel like this genre shouldn't get a pass on the script because of the status quo. Let somebody actually write a fun and imaginative monster movie with a quality script and let's see how much we enjoy that. I've watched all the Godzilla films in Japanese, and some of the Gamera films, Rodan, Mothra, etc. all in Japanese in their original cut and these kind of films with quality writing do exist. When they get subbed they sound comical, yes, but the Japanese found ways to make the writing draw in the audience as much as the visuals or the monsters did. Pacific Rim is a straight popcorn flick, a good one, but after hearing the script and the dialogue after three sitdowns it made my head spin.

Sometimes you have to make decisions, and then you have to live with them. That's what I'm trying to do.

Cringe worthy Lucas-esque dialog. And I love this film!

Yeah. It's awkward. Mako calls Raleigh out on being reckless and he doesn't specifically respond to that.

"I think you’re unpredictable. You have a habit of deviating from standard combat techniques, you take risks that injure yourself and your crew. I don’t think you’re the right man for this mission."

I think some of the lines are cringe worthy because of the delivery by the actors, not because they lines are really that bad, Hunnam can't seem to deliver a line without sounding cheesy :lol and not only in this movie.

The same for Mako.
