Holy ****. I swear, this and Man of Steel are movie-of-the-year material.

Wow. The tanker bat was awesome, but what impressed me the most was that flying Kaiju! It looks like at some point it picks Gipsy Danger up and drops him.

Anyone noticed the similarity to Evangelion?

Yea except there's two pilots in the mech instead of one. They are fighting monsters instead of aliens and the pilots aren't kids but grown ups. The stuff in there helmets that's yellow looks like the same stuff they use in evangalion tho. Also they aren't fighting Angels but huge monsters .

As RIDDICK pointed out this movie is an homage to the entire Japanese Mecha genre. Which goes back way before Evangelion.

Just watched the footage, and it looks badass! I can't wait for this one. My brain mouth let out a little "squeee" when I saw Ron Perlman.
