Overall the shooting is at least reasonably justified. It is the second burst fired that really disturbs me. Use of deadly force does not mean a right to ensure the suspect is executed on the spot..

At the end of the day I hate seeing violent ____ like this BUT at least they tried tasering him first. Maybe a couple leg shots? Who knows. Unless you're in the exact same position you'll never know.

My bud is a cop and he told me you go for the kill shot if you're being attacked. Don't like it? Don't jump at a cop holding a gun, especially when you have a weapon in hand. Can't shoot his legs, because the attacker can still be mobile and come at you. Also, a crazy SOB is made crazier and more angry when they are in pain.

Unfortunately Buffygirl is right in this case. You gotta do what you gotta do. Better that guy then them. They are there to serve the public and the safety and integrity of their lives. This guy obviously had a few screws loose, and nothing was getting through to him. It sucks, but unfortunately when talking to the guy and tasering doesn't work, you have to go to the final resort. No sane law enforcer wants to fire a pistol on someone, unless they absolutely have to. I will agree on the amount of shots fired. Was a bit trigger happy, but they guy may have been nervous. Still, they are trained for situations like that.
