Here let me break down the Halloween series.

H78: Masterpiece

Everything after 78: Different Levels of Crap but Crap Nonetheless.

The Shape exists only in 78 never to be seen ever again.

Had H'81 not had the atrocious brother/sister storyline then I could potentially have that in my official timeline...you can tell Carpenter was already sick of Myers back then

It's funny H'18 done all this 'we dropped the brother/sister guff' thus making Michael having no connection to anyone, he was free as a bird BUT we are getting a trilogy involving his non sister Laurie Strode...had they not dropped that storyline she would probably already be dead

And it's funny all the RZ Halloween haters who said his vision was too gritty/real/bloody/brutal etc etc getting all weak at the knees for Voorhees Myers

It must have the most complicated chronology of any movie series.

It's like a multiverse of 'variant' Michaels.

Rumor is this HK MM is even way more brutal than Voorhees ever was in his MPAA neutered series even the F13th remake was less gory than Punisher Warzone at the time lol

Poor Jason MPAA ***** boy!!

The thing with RZ Hobo Myers was he was a non supernatural giant brute who you believe would **** you up easily.

OG Myers (as this current timeline has '78 connected to it) Myers should be here and gone like the wind aka the Shape, the Boogeyman...that firefighter scene looks way too supernatural and nothing like what OG Myers would do...it looks less believable. It genuinely looks like a Hobo Myers scene, which would have worked for RZ.

On the rumours (leaked script) of it being RZ Myers on steroids... I'll reserve judgement on that...RZ stuff was believable brutal... if HK is more gory and brutal it still won't be as realistic as RZ gore...more OTT horror gore than a realism effect...if you know what I mean.

I agree, without context, the firefighter scene feels out of character with the '78, the more natural thing would be that Michael gets out of the house and shows up somewhere later on and you don't even know where he came from.

I think the point of the scene is trying to show him being more than human, surviving the fire, making his way through all the firefighters with little effort, etc.

Based on a lot of what we've seen so far, I get the feeling Laurie will be on the sidelines for a good portion, recovering in the hospital, and something will happen to her family to get her up and out of there. I just can't think of a single shot of Laurie out of the hospital yet.
