Unless one pops up...see/ask one of the guys that has gotten SS MC and ask to them to take a pic with SS's next to a 360.
Get both images with a 360 game in it and overlay/lap the images until the 360 case is the same size, should give a rough estimate.

That'll be the only way to do it. The only problem is you have the difference poses and bases. But like you said, you should be able to take a rough estimate and get to the bottom of it. Worst case scenario, measure the photos in Photoshop and get an accurate idea of what's going on.

Incredible job McFarlane! Perhaps he should continue making high end items rather than the 6 inch scales. 
It's in the videos too with McFarlane himself talking about it.
It does seem underscale but I have noticed that SS's 1/4 scale stuff seems to be on the bigger side. Not sure if its a valid comparison, but my LOTR human stuff is significantly bigger than my EB joker and terminator and HT 1/4 batman.

Just picked this up. Couldn't resist. It looks gorgeous in pictures and the videos. Can never have too many Master Chiefs and who knows if SS will ever make one in this iconic pose
which still could be a master sample, those things tend to be much larger then the mass produced ones... No matter, we'll see when people start receiving theirs
and regarding the complaints about the 'Halo 4' instead of 'Halo', it all depends on the license they got... Don't forget that the first three games were made by Bungie, the last one by 343 Studios and while Microsoft still owns the license, it does makes a difference what part of the license they have...
I think that they only got the Halo 4 one, not the entire or the older ones...
You obviously didn't watch Spawn when it aired on HBO
That's the one thing I miss from the box set, his little intros.

The official Halo store had some for pre-order several weeks ago. I ordered from them and have not received a shipping notice either.
I assume these are in stock this week and should ship from all places that had them on order this week.
