Just ripped into my Limited Edition. I have to say the contents and "authenticity" of it all is quite impressive.

So far my only problem with the game is the teammate AI. They're freaking idiots. They just randomly stop in their place and leave you hanging alone. Playing on Heroic is alright, but it seems harder than it used to be in the other games. Maybe I'm just Halo rusty.

This game is definitely more difficult than the previous incarnations. The "strike zone" in the Jackal shields is a lot smaller. Hunters are a royal _____. And the Elites on the final level are tough as nails even on the Normal difficulty setting. Beating this on Legendary will be tough.

Same here. I haven't really played any Halo games since ODST came out, and I got pretty bored with that quickly. I haven't visited Waypoint in a while so maybe I'll see what I've got unlocked later.

So for those playing the campaign, for someone that hasn't liked any Halo game since the original is this a return to the roots or more of the same?

On a hunch, i'd say it should be. The Flood is gone, the Elites are back.....and I think the pistol should be back too. That's one thing I kinda liked about ODST.
