Sideshow's curse!

but their last HIC was super heavy, just like the Dewback and Taun Taun.

I actually love the weight, but if it can look the same... and I could choose... I'd prefer it to be light weight simply for the versatility of displaying the piece and being able to put it on shelves and not fearing the worse. lol

Why is it so undersized?

I saw it in person at SDCC and it didn't look that undersized to me. It was on a level of its own up above the bounty hunters so kind of hard to get a perspective on it.

At the collectibles panel they said you could pose it upright in the carbon freezing changer or horizontally in the Bespin hallway but no indication or slides explaining how that would work and if it was in fact the same "chunk" of plastic base used in both situations. It looked cool but SSC has not had a good track record lately of delivering on their prototypes and have also become extremely overpriced for what you get.

Still holding out optimistic on this one. It would be a nice piece to add to the collection but after seeing how much cool stuff is coming out from so many companies/properties I have written off a lot of things I was once very interested in getting.

I also saw it in person at SDCC and that is the reason why i think it was very undersized.

The SSC block is ROTJ style, not ESB though. The two blocks have slightly different overall shapes and the panels on the sides are differently placed/detailed.

It should be only approx 14" tall in 1/6, not a huge amount bigger than a regular figure.

I have the old one and always wanted lights. Now they do the lights and I'm like Danggit! D'oh
I think the stand works like the Black Series one stand for upright and floating position.

Yeah, it was the other reason I sold my polystone Carbonite - they include lights for that archway thing (where like part of the wall glows,) but NOT the carbonite block? Very, very strange.:slap

Keep the old one for JABBAS palace display and get the new one for floating hallway display with Fett and some troops. Always want d to put together that scene. If it comes with a stand to be able to recreate that effect I'm in.

Fig prices are rising by around $30 a year, so it makes total $ense to wait six months before you put this up for PO, same with Dengar.

Saw this at NYCC today- looks pretty good...
