Re: Harbinger Down

Well, it's supposed to look like The Thing.

The effects studio who made the practical effects for the new Thing, funded and made this. The effects work they did was coated in CGI before the final release and this movie is their way of proving they can do better work than the CGI we ended up with. This was basically made as a "**** You" to that movie. :lol

Re: Harbinger Down

Been waiting for this for a long time now.
Still no home video or digital announcements... :monkey2

I'm not watching any of the trailers. I'm just waiting for them to announce the blu ray so I can buy it.

If it was playing at one of my local cinemas for the limited release its getting, I'd see it in a heartbeat but I highly doubt we will so I'll have to settle for blu Ray.

Heard this is released late Aug/Early Sept on DVD...hope it's correct...a must watch. I enjoyed all the Thing films :)

Looks like Pat McClung and Robert Skotak (both worked on 'Aliens') are also listed as Visual Effects Consultant / Supervisor (respectively)...may have to check this one out. :)

Low-budget creature feature film doesn't even have to be good in general.
None of those Winston-Arkoff's were, and still had great practical FX.

They did a solid job with what little they had on their hands.
An enjoyable throwback to many horror classics.
I liked it!

Could use more monster action though... But that's my only gripe.

I hope the low key promotion doesn't harm this film's potential, i think it will though. :nono
