I like Harris a lot in Sorcerors Stone, but not so much in Chamber of Secrets, but that might just be overall preference for SS of CS...

I liked Harris much better than Gambon. I really don't see the character of Dumbledore in Gambon's performance. Harris gave Dumbledore a wisdom and kindness that just isn't present in Gambon.

And I love Cuaron's entry. The look of the film is magnificent and I'm glad the later entries carried it on. I have a big problem with the script and what was chosen to be left out. It would only have taken a line or two to get it more in sync with the books but they chose to skip some very important plot points.

I didn't like #s 4 and 5, but was pleasantly surprised by Half Blood Prince (except the mishandling of the crucial scene at the end). I'm looking forward to the last ones and I agree they did it just to milk the franchise. But I think the fans will benefit because we SHOULD be getting a set of movies that take their time with the story instead of rushing through just to get to the end.

Ideally, the movies should have been a TV series in order to get all the details in the story (which I think are quite brilliant).

I was on a date with a girl the other night and she said she's not looking forward to the next Harry Potter movie and that she didn't care for the last book. I nearly did this :thud: right in the middle of dinner. :lol

I liked deathly hollows, but the way they made the prologe so cutsey was annoying

I'm a sucker for that cutesy stuff so I liked the prologue. I can completely understand why others don't though.

Did you make her buy dinner for that? :lol

Honestly, I preferred what Hopper brought to the table. Looking forward to what JW puts out though.

Is Alexandre Desplat doing part1?

Yeah, he's doing Part 1. I was very pleased with Nicholas Hooper, too. I almost wanted him to compose The Deathly Hallows as opposed to Desplat. I hope he doesn't disappoint.

I liked what Desplat did with Fantastic Mr. Fox but that is all I know that he has done.
