So.Very.Exciting.

It's almost time and I can't wait. I wonder how many times I'll see it in theaters. I have a GC to the Alamo so I can at least see it twice..

I'm wondering how long it will be before I attempt to approach the theater. I hate seeing films in jammed conditions. Too much background noise and distractions.

I had a crush on her when i was young too. It was funny to me back then. Hard to see it end though.

As much as I am looking forward to seeing this film, the bit in the trailer where Harry grabs Voldemort and jumps off the bridge is putting me off.

I have concerns about that since it's not in the book, and as of yet, I haven't particularly liked any of the non-book additions. I think it looks pretty cool though, so I'm hoping it will be good. Can't be any worse than the burrow.

Having not read the books yet none of that had bothered me, but that's due to me not having a clue what's different. After reading them in the future I could see things bothering me, and seeing as how there are a couple items in LOTR that I didn't like added I do understand.

The only good thing that comes from seeing the films first and then reading the books is, you can picture it all while you're reading, and then it feels like it happened and you get a perfect memory of it because you already know the characters. I loved that about reading the books.

Then I went back and watched them again. I groaned a lot. lol.

I liked reading the book's first because i liked picturing how a character looked myself,i started reading them just when the first movie came out so i did picture the actors for the main cast of characters, other characters like Moody,Madeye,Sirius, tonks, etc i still remember how i pictured them before they were cast in the movies, it's nice to still have that i think.

I can understand that. I saw the first movie before reading the books, so alot of the main characters I associate with their movie counterparts. It is difficult for me to judge Snape as a character without allowing his portrayal by Alan Rickman to come into play.

Yeah, it does allow you have a mental picture thats for sure. It was like that with LOTR as well which is fine with me. As far as groaning I doubt I will do that because I don't do that with LOTR really.

The only addition I liked was in HBP the Burrow attack. Seemed like it didn't make the wait as long for the awesome but sad ending.

I started reading the first HP in fourth grade. Right before the first movie came out. I was always 1 book ahead of the movies at all times. But for me what they took out and added in LOTR made the movies better then the books IMO. I started reading LOTR in 4th grade after I saw The Fellowship.

This post makes me feel old. :lol

I also tend to associate the characters with their movie counterparts even though I didn't care for the movies at all until I actually read the books.

They really did a fantastic job with the casting for the entire series. The only one who comes to mind that felt completely off to me was Natalia Tena as Tonks.
