I read The Hobbit around 1978 but it was several years later when I read LOTR. As far as Potter - I had actually read books 1-5 before I started watching the movies.

It saddens me that we are almost to the end. Just finished watching part 1 again. I imagine it will feel the same watching part 2 as when I finished reading the last book...bittersweet.

Can't disagree more with you on Natalia. And she's also a complete sweetheart in real life. Think she was a perfect Tonks. :D

Me and my sons have been watching one movie a night since Friday. I was surprised at how much older the kids seemed between Chamber and Azkaban. I am excited to watch Goblet of Fire tonight. :rock

My Rave has said they ARE giving away the Harry Potter 3D glasses on a first come, first served basis. My wife agreed to wait until Saturday to see it with my sister-in-law since she saw the last four with us. I really want those glasses to see the movie with....decisions decisions....

The age difference between 1 and 2 is the one that gets me.

I always loved the British photo covers. I would be over the moon if they made a special edition Blu-Ray with covers like these.

From the HP marathon at Imperial Bio, Copenhagen. After seeing the last two movies tonight we will have seen 19 hours and 39 minutes of Potter movies in 41 hours.

Looks like a very awesome Nimbus Broom CO. shirt is coming to Teefury in the next couple of days (along with Dr. Horrible).
