Has anyone ever tried to raise a Detolf?

Re-designed my home theatre/collection room. Raised my Detolf?s using Besta?s. So happy with the results.

So you have five detolfs on two bestas then? I want to do the same but was worried about the weight of them.

Came here looking specifically for a post like this.
So I'm working on my next display and it's going to be a standalone for a while, been looking for options, too.
I decided to try the shorter besta frame, it's a bit wider but not enough to fit 2 detolfs, and tbh I really don't mind the extra space on the sides, gives it more of a podium type of look. This is 15" tall, the kallax are 16"

It's still in progress, it's going to be blacked out like the ones beside it, decided on a glass door for it because I want whatever I put under there to be lit and visible as well but obviously won't be anything I want to be focused on

That looks great! What did you end up going with? I'm restarting my display and I've got three detolfs that I'd like to raise. I like the white two-drawed cases you used. I'd probably have to do them without the legs since I have a low ceiling. Any concerns about the weight? Thanks!

Kalax on it?s side works great for 3 detolfs

I was hoping to do a 1x4 kallax on it's side, but I ended up going with this weird 45 degree corner for my display, so that wouldn't work.

To make it work, i got 3 1x1 Kallax units from the UK and had them shipped over here by a forwarding company.

The legs and drawers are from the local Ikea. Weight is totally fine. The legs are great, because you can adjust each one to match any unevenness in your floor, and also put the front ones just a tad longer, so there's reduce risk of them falling forward.

Does anyone know how to get the 1x1 Kallax shipped over from the UK - I'll never understand why we don't have them for sale in the US, but they would be perfect for what I'm looking to do with my display so any help is much appreciated!!

I have just purchased my first 2 Detolfs. I have also purchased a riser, the Besta Frame NOT the Besta TV Stand. (link below). However, after the purchase I checked the weight capacity with IKEA and they said it is 19.7kg (43lbs). Has anyone used this riser before? Will it hold 2 Detolfs?

I've had 4 detolfs on a 3 door besta frame for over 5 years with no issue. The Detolfs only have 1/6 figures in them.

I've switched to this as well, since I outgrew the 3 detolfs and moved to a bigger place.

I actually built my own risers with drawers to raise them up another 12 1/2”. Each detolf has its own riser and drawer for all the accessories.

Each of the boxes is screwed to the next one so it’s now one solid piece. I also used the feet from the detolfs as the feet for the boxes so everything sits flush.

Tried poking around the thread a bit, what’s the current solution for raising two detolfs?

Looking for a black base to lift two side-by-side shelves up, ideally not too much bigger than the two cases width wise.

I’ve seen people recommending Besta, I found this one but it’s 47” (BESTÅ Shelf unit with doors, black-brown/Hanviken black-brown, 471/4x161/2x15" - IKEA) and i’m hoping for something similar but closer to 34-36” wide. Thanks for any help

hello everyone, one question, would it be possible to raise three detoulf display cases with kallax cubes? in details I seem to have read that for kallax cubes the maximum load / shelf is 13 kg and the weight of the showcase is about 30 kg, but how is it possible that many adopt this method? (I have seen several photos around the internet)
would you recommend this?
