At least Kylo looks decent aside from the lightsaber! I'll certainly be picking him up.

I think they were mocking Optibotimus(another Youtube reviewer) and failed miserably. I couldn't even finish the Rey review because I couldn't stand the craptastic humor.

Finn Doesn't have a lightsaber? Plus they don't have their whole names on the packages. How much do you want to bet better versions are released after the movie.
They'll be called Figuarts versions. I wonder if any of these new characters will warrant a Hot Toys version?

I think Sevreed means that Bandai will make a Figuarts figure of the main characters. I think that it is pretty much guaranteed they will announce them soon and they likely will be better and have the same outfit.

Yep. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. I mean, look at the picture of the Figuarts Luke next to the Hasbro Luke, it's no contest. The only problem is the price, which does make it a lot harder to purchase a big library of characters. Already I want Figuarts versions of Old Jedi Luke, Old Han, Chewie, Kylo Ren, Storm Troopers, and Captain Phasma. Rey and Finn will depend on how good they are in the new movie. Right now I wish they would have gotten Michael B Jordan to play Finn but that might change once I see the movie.

Myself as well. The accessories are almost non-existent on Fin, paint jobs look poor on Rey and we already own Chewy.

I've only bought a couple of six inch Black Series figures, R2 and Luke X-Wing pilot, but I may buy a few from the TFA line since the 5POA figures are just horrific. I can't believe Hasbro is pushing this crap on kids and collectors. They're packed with all that unnecessary plastic accessory junk too which could have gone to better use--i.e. producing super articulated figures in the first place. Those 5POA figures are pricey too. Back in 1995 when Kenner/Hasbro relaunched Star Wars figures with POTF2, those figures were $4.99 or $5.99. So why the hell are they two or three dollars higher now? Epic fail by Hasbro. This will be the first Star Wars film released since 1999 that I won't be trying to track every figure or vehicle down for my collection.

At 40 I don’t think I have the strength to collect anymore 3 3/4” new Trilogy figures. BUT at 40 Disney does not give “two ****s” about me collecting TFA figures………they want my kids!!! (and they just might get them)

Really not impressed by the TFA Black Series. Final nail in the coffin for me with the line. Quality has fallen off a cliff.
It's 1/6 scale all the way now.

The quality on these look fine and the figures look great.

Don't you know it's always Disney? Anything that goes right is in spite of them, and everything that goes wrong is because of them. Believing that helps keep the basement ghosts in the corners. But not the smell.

The only Black Series I kept, in the end.

It's possible Pilot Luke could be topped by a line like SHF...but I don't think anyone is likely to top the Sandtroopers in this scale; the helmets are really very good.

Note that these are WIP; they've already had some paint work and await Bandai backpacks and maybe some more paint.

I haven't been terribly impressed with the figures from The Black Series to be honest. I really think the older Hasbro figures I grew up with (the 3 and 3/4 figures from The Power of the Force line mainly) were better than what we get now days. The only real advantage the new figures have is the scale.

I'll get Kylo and a second Stormtrooper when I see TFA stuff, but I'm in no real hurry with the Black Series. I wish Hasbro had maintained the quality of that first wave.
