I really think Hasbro has given up on the adult collector market and is going to go back to making the new Star Wars product more for kids again. And I don't think it's even a bad way to go forward for them. They can say the 6" black series is for the older fans but how many older fans really are loving them? Most would rather have Figuarts versions now or Hot Toys so they can't win there. I think that's why we are seeing them go more and more basic with all their stuff now. If the Rebels figures and the new 5 POA Force Awakens stuff sells well enough why spend the extra money on production to make figures just for older fans? Plus, they are more likely to break when kids, their real money makers, play with them? Heck, some older fans I know even like the return to a more basic figure (not me). They like it because it's more like the stuff they grew up with.

If the black series isn't popular still why can't you find them?
I would say there a much more Hasbro collectors than HT, SS, and any high end figures combined.

A bit off topic:
...Just saw the new Black Series smaller figures at Wal Mart. Where was I when the price got hiked up to 13 bucks?
I thought about getting the Jawa 2 pack before I saw that.

What can't you find? I've never had trouble but I lost interest after the first few waves. Do you think there are more Hasbro collectors world wide? In China and Japan?

I just got into collecting the black series again after only buying the first series when they came out in 2013. Today I picked up The Emperor, Vader, 2x Stormtroopers, Boba Fett, IG-88, Bossk, Jedi Knight Luke and Han Solo for under $200. Now the only figures I really need are the upcoming closed mouth Chewie and Kylo Renn.

At 40 I told myself I'm not going to collect the new SW movie figures. Today I Saw all the 3 3/4" and 6" TFA figures at Walmart today. The collector in me was excited but the financial advisor in me said walk away! Very happy that the 3 3/4" line look like crap and with only 5PA it makes it easy to stay away from this line. Saw all the six inch. Look great but at $24.95 no thank you. Everyone seems interested in this KYLO guy. I have not seen any trailers so I have not even seen this guy move or what he sounds like. Boring looking design IMO. Maybe view will change when I watch the movie. Surprising that the chick and BB8 was the figure that looked the most interesting!! Anyways I bought what was one my shopping list and walked away. DAY 1 of not purchasing NEW figures.....a success!!

Don't go to TRU, I was checking out my TRUs .

They are limiting 3 items per customer.

So one person wants to get the whole Black series well they are SOOL

Scalpers are going to be screwed lol

The Elite series confuses me to be honest. I get that Disney wants a share of our 'premium collectibles' money, but tbh the quality of the helmet-less figures still doesn't look brilliant and articulation seems iffy. There's a YouTube video up that goes through that set and the presenter sort of fiddles around with some joints while talking about other joints—never a transparent look at what each figure can do. Perhaps they mean to pitch these as a cheaper alternative to Figuarts, focusing on the die-cast element to make the series look like a no-brainer. I know that if I actually wanted to collect all of these (I don't), I would probably be attracted to figures that are better than the Black series but less expensive than Japanese imports ($25 versus $45-60).
