I am actually considering trying to get that base so I can customize it into a stand for my Mythos Boba Fett. He might look good on that. It would take some work... some epoxy-puttying, a little cutting... some drybrushing?. wouldn't be horrible tho. Thinking it over. A desert stand would do well with many figures actually.

For sure IMO on this one. Almost picked up Kylo's centerpiece just for the desert base - well, I did, but keeping that one as-is with Kylo. A great piece. Just couldn't bring myself to destroy the blue light piece attached to the tower, far as I can tell the blast effect is wired in somehow and permanently attached to the tower. I would have had to ditch the light tower and fill the hole left in the wall top. If I can ever pick another one up super cheap, I might tho. Someone with more skills than me might do better removing the "blast effect".

Rey's centerpiece tho IMO has endless possibilities with minimal skills. The "lava" is clear dark yellow plastic - looks orange - thought with a wash of clear gloss browns etc. I can get it to look like water, and with some painting etc. turn it into Arvala-7. Plus, IMO, makes a great Navarro with some tweaks.

(Great idea to use with 1/6 hadn't thought of that.:clap Just pulled the top portion off one of mine and there's that nice flat section that can easily be spackled over with some added debris/rocks. Excellent!:clap:clap:clap)

Or a desert with a sort of dried up wadi. IMO easy base to work with. So yeah, IMO great piece if u can pick up cheap - tho poor Rey has to stay in the box.:monkey3

Anybody getting annoyed the big stores have either no SW display at all anymore or they are in a tiny section or they have the same peg warmers

Yeah, and I can't hang around when releases come out, hoping that day Target etc. MIGHT put something good out:pfft:. Stores are trying to force mail order and for me, they are winning.:pfft:

Going to get a few of these. It’s a custom. Thought I’d clear that up before it became an issue.

Have it one order- not hit this side of the pond yet.

Picked up the Dewback with 6 " Sandtrooper, just so I could do that *badass* shot. It's a great dewback. Tho the stuff on the saddle prob. isn't accurate. And the reins aren't as long as I need.

Pretty nice custom from the looks of it.

Anyone have any luck finding the new ESB 40th wave? I only want Luke, and ironically my local Meijer had all of them *except* for Luke. Felt bad. :lol

Love that custom box with the Dewback. These customs are just so much nicer than anything Hasbro does. They have talented people working there, but clearly less passion than the fans. It kind of shows in their packaging. Part of the issue for me: I hate the 6" scale. Too big for vehicles, and out of scale with NECA, McFarlane and all the other awesome 7" figures over the years. Just looks odd on my shelf.

Well I bought my first Black Series figure today - C1-10P. I figure (if you'll pardon the pun) this will be my only chance to get Chopper as a figure and he is my all time favourite droid (sorry R2 and K2). I would kill for a sixth scale version but alas I can't see it happening.

I promise this is not a gateway figure to more. It can't be.

Yeah, sure.:lol:monkey3

I started with just the one...:lol Congrats tho - hope u can hold fast...IMO these Black Series are too well done, and *relatively* inexpensive, depending. And, at least Hasbro doesn't have the kind of wait HT and others do.

Ha ha, I'll second that. In fact a random purchase of Han from the first wave re-ignited my love of toys, resulting 5-ish years later a room full of Black Series, Marvel Legends, NECA and Hot Toys figures. It's a VERY slippery slope - once you pop you just can't stop...

:lol:lol:lol

And They. Are. SO. COOL. Had randomly picked up a few MCU Hasbro - which to me fall firmly into the "toy" category - but whoah, the SW Black Series. And after all, supposedly they are "geared to the adult collector" so that makes it not only OK, but a valuable investment!:monkey3

Srsly think at least the SW are pretty impressive, and so is my first NECA (the 24" Alien). And they don't break the bank:clap. Bein' a new Mandalorian show fanatic too - have had a lot of fun working with these figs. Next Force Friday pepl can just get out of my way.:wink1:

What? Oh **** I'm done.:lol And here I'd been so good controlling my 6" purchases.

Hasbro needs to give us a new sculpt for that Stormtrooper. The original sucks. The helmet is off...Carbonized figs are easy for them so that makes sense.

And I have all the SH Figuarts Stormtroopers; the new ANH one is closer......still not perfect but blows the Hasbro one away (naturally)

I thought I heard ESB Vader would be part of that lineup too? Did he get cancelled?

Vader I had heard only thru rumor channels for wave 2 nothing ever official unless I missed that announcement which is highly possible my life is crazy lol

Yeah they need to update that damn helmet but I highly doubt it will be fixed on the carbonized.

It's very close but besides some obvious liberties like the rear of the helmet and the width, there's still something just slightly off -- their Bandai model kit was excellent except for the ridges around the eyes being too soft. Madness.
