Well, that Luke looks pretty darn nice! If the final production figure looks like this, and the rest of the figures are on par with him, then I am definitely in! 8 figures a year sounds pretty manageable as well...heck I only found about 8 of Hasbro's 3 3/4" figures at retail last year.

Actually, the more I think about I think I stick strictly to the core ANH heros. I think that would look nice. Like Wor-Gar says too many is a clutter. Then again that X Wing Luke looks nice....

And now they have you.......
Seriously my first reaction is not interested. Then ooh but I looks good, and there's only a few, and I won't buy them all.

Hasbro are being sharp here. Increased price point for collectors allowing the owing 3 3/4 line to reduce and probably continue with the less articulated figures.

Lego continues and sideshow hits the high end - again with the reduced output - and we suckers desperately hook the new line as our habit needs feeding.

So wait, they're bigger... and they are referred to as the Black Line. No one in Pawtucket, RI snickered during the power point presentation?

Looks cool but I bet prototype paint will suffer factory realism haha, wouldn't know what to do with these figures. I'd buy a power droid to hang out with the 3A AP Mongrol :lol

8 figs a year may be manageable. Yet, if this line is successfull, i fear we'll soon get to 16/20 figs a year and can expect the inevitable exclusives and variants.
I'll stick with 4" and 12" for now and see how this new line spans out in the coming years. Right now, i'm just not too excited by the same old characters at a new scale. I'm all for it though if that helps me get a few new characters in the 4" line.

:hi5: I HAVE BEEN WAITING ON THIS F-O-R-E-V-E-R!!!! :hi5:

I never got into collecting Star Wars - aside from Sideshow and some of the 3 and 3/4 clone wars stuff (because I like the animated look) as I just didn't like the 3 3/4 scale. I figured Hasbro would have to go 6" for a while now...and with 3 3/4 dying now at retail for the past year, this was destined to happen!

I will most likely buy every one of them as long as the quality is there.

I want them all from NT to OT....I especially want all of the Sith they can get to from movies and EU as well as troopers (movies and EU):yess:

Neat to see everyone's take on this long-rumoured line. Personally, I'm just happy it's something I can say no to without feeling like I'm depriving myself. Going to keep my focus strictly on 1:6, still.

Reading the article, it looks like there will be a 4 inches "Black Line" to replace the currently on hold "Vintage Line". I can't wait to get more details on this news.

awesome! Luke looks really great. I think I would probably pick and choose with this line since I already have a ton of the 3.75" ones. That luke almost has a neca quality to it. I will probably pick up maul though. I would love a empire strikes back luke vs. darth vader set up though. I can feel my control slipping away though. Boba fett, chewbacca, han, bossk even...damn.
