Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

Luke arrived today. His eyes are slightly wonky but I'm really digging the figure! I don't think I've noticed a single detail missing from the three figures I've bought so far. Hell, the only nitpick I can come up with is that the Sandtroopers backpack sits too high on his back. Lets just hope the quality remains consistent.

I am wanting a Vader, like right now, though. :(

I'm really hoping they make an awesome Jabba set. In fact there are a lot of obscure characters I'd like to see. Hammerhead, Walrusman, Max Rebo, Amanaman to name a few.

Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

So, I have a serious question for those scooping these up... Why? Not knocking those who dig them, just curious as to the interest. Maybe I need to see them in person, but to me, they're just glorified 3 3/4 inch Hasbro figures, which I've kind of moved away from. Is everyone who's picking these up also still picking up "most" of the Hasbro 3 3/4 inch?

I have about a thousand Hasbro figs that are slowing getting phased out of the display as I pick up the higher end 12 inch, Premium Format and Mythos...

Editors Note: My wife is NOT happy about this "re-spend", as she refers to it...

Here's my quick video overview of the SDCC2013 Boba and Han set! Hope you can check it out :)

I've seen a number of folks refer to these as "glorified 3 3/4 figures" and nothing could be further from the truth in my opinion. You really do need to see them in person to appreciate them I guess. I'm still picking up "some" 3 3/4" figures, but not like I used to. My purchases have been slowing down quite a bit over the last several years, so this new line is pretty exciting to me.

I've already explained a couple times I haven't gotten any SW merchandise in seven or eight years. 1/6 looks nice but I have neither the space nor the money for those. These? Certainly! And they're nicer than any 3 3/4" figure I've ever seen. There's far more detail than any of the smaller versions of these characters. I'm not hating the paint apps on my Luke, but they're far from stellar. But the same could be said about SSC's figures :monkey1

I think I'll just order a case of Wave 2 when HTS gets it up for Pre-Order. I'm not dealing with tracking down Boba Fett in stores and I'm focusing on OT anyways so there's nothing in that shipment I won't not want.

That sounds like a good idea. I didn't realize how lucky I was to find these all at once until I checked this thread. I'll probably do the same with Series 2. Set it and forget it.

Yeah, I've only checked two stores. Target supposedly had three in stock but I couldn't find them in the aisle. Someone must've had them in their hands elsewhere already. TRU had a peg for them but it looks like they sold out. I really just want the Sandtrooper. Might get R2 if I like what I see in hand. As for Wave 3, I just want two stormies and Bespin Luke. So ordering a case isn't going to work every time....

Ditto but I hope this figure doesn't come w/an oversize noose (aka chain) around his neck like the 3 3/4" counterpart(s). :slap

Yeah, that might be a good idea.... I think I'll go check BBTS and see if they're up for PO yet.

:lol Yeah, they tend to make them ridiculously long. Same with that 31" Vader from Jakks. I've been meaning to mod (Chop) mine.

Saw my first 6" scale figure (in person) yesterday. It was R2-D2. While I was very impressed with the packaging size, I had to put it down. I have to stick with my guns and only pick and choose with this line. R2 did not seem like the one to choose. I did get the "tingle" bug of collecting Star Wars again. Felt good!!!

Got Wave 1 fresh case....wow these are amazing in person! collecting most of these for sure

I'm thinking of selling my 3.75" scale collection in favor of these guys!! :panic:

My favorite from series one has to be Luke, really amazing figure, great articulation and likeness, and love the helmet, it's awesome!!!

Not that happy with Maul, while the uncloaked version looks nice, I don't like how bendy the sword hilts are... also, the cloaked version is a bit weird looking, maybe a custom fabric one would be nice.
But the figure itself is awesome, the articulation on the legs helps a lot for really cool poses!
