Picked up all four series one figures at Target last week for $19.99 each. There was only one set, no duplicates. Saw them last night at Fred Meyer for $21.99 each and looked to be at least two sets on shelf. Glad to see I have three options for buying locally ... for now.

Re: Hasbro legends 6" sw figures

If the Bespin Vader statue you are refferring to is the Kotobukiya ArtFX+ Empire Strikes Back Vader....
That's the one.

I just pick one up this weekend from local Toysrus who were clearance them out to $25. Its great statue.
I agree. Even though I spent so much more than $25... I think the statue is great.

... got me thinking of picking up more from this line (like Boba fett)
If I wasn't anticipating a lot more from the Black Series 6 inch scale, I probably would've ended up buying the whole Kotobukiya line... they are really cool as far as details go...and, not to sound "spoiled" by DCUC, MOTUC etc. but I'm sick of 4 inch scale Star Wars figures.... it's been WAY too long collecting SW in that scale.

That said, the Black Series figures are almost comparable and in some ways "better" than the Kotobukiya stuff. Like I said, the big draw for the BS is the anticipation of a significantly larger number of characters, but if the BS stuff didn't exist, I'd be all over that stuff!

Finally saw these in stores, but I'm still going to pass altogether with the 1 exception of Boba Fett.

$22.99! I'll wait.

I am hoping its a placeholder; given you cancel prior to shipping, figured I would order then do a 'wait and see'

Big Bad as the set at $80 even, and those guys are ripoff artists, so figure Amazon will get with the program.

Fett is gonna be damn hard to find in the wild

I pre-ordered Han and Boba Fett from Amazon. Just in case I don't see this wave in stores, wanted to make sure I at least got those two.

Why has this series already had their price raised? It's ridiculous!

The price might go up soon or sell out. My Sandy from Amazon came in damaged. I called and asked them for a replacement. The rep said it was out of stock & asked if I wanted a refund.

I was told her that I am happy with the item but it was shipped in an oversized envelope and the box was crushed. Well she was kind enough to refund me $19.99.

I pre-ordered Fett while I was on the phone w/the Amazon rep. She waived the s/h fee. She assured me that even though the fig won't be released till late Nov it will be shipped in a secure box.

Sorry to ramble but Amazon has excellent customer service if you explain the situation.

:)

There was a crushed sandy 6inch at Target today and it was the only one left, I didn't buy it as I want a mint condition box. All of the other stores around me do not even carry this line yet. The option to preorder from amazon is so tempting...

I finally found a new Sandtrooper to replace my old one with the messed up hand. I can't believe I'm saying this but I was very tempted to pick up Maul as well. He's a cool looking figure and I'm what you'd call a prequel hater.

Th prequels definitely suck, but Maul is a great character. The final duel with him, Qui Gon and Obi Wan is the best lightsaber battle is all 6 of the movies for my money.

Agreed on all counts, but the way he met his end...pretty implausible. He's a lethal fighting machine, stops to moustache-twirl and mwahaha...and doesn't know how to react when Baby Wan flips over his head? :slap

I am loving these 6 inch! If only they could release a Chewbacca soon!

Love that description! That is exactly how I felt. Even though that is not my favorite lightsaber battle it was pretty cool, so to have it end in such a ridiculous way was very disappointing (kinda sums up the whole prequel trilogy).

My favorite lightsaber battle will always be Empire, there was just so much more at stake and the reveal at the end, well you know...

Back on topic, I finally found Luke at Toys R Us! Awesome figure!

The fighting in Empire looked more like combat. It was clumsier and more desperate looking. The PT lightsaber fights were endless twirling and spinning.
