Well, your kids are very lucky, and added joy of having them for you, getting to build this stuff, cuz if it was just for you, might be a harder sales pitch to the wife.

Loose pictures of Jabba are up here. I've reposted a couple. I'm not thrilled with how the throne and pillows look compared to the prototype picture. Something seems kind of off to me. But at least the pillows are moveable. It should look great with a repaint. And Jabba looks quite good. I'm just a little concerned about the "posable tail" aspect, since it looks kind of odd in some shots. Hopefully that is fixable.

I had hopes for this set :(

The tail looks bad, it hollows out when bent, the pillows look too simplistic but Salacious is the worst. Hasbro has released better Salacious than this one.

Which Salacious is better? It's the same one as the one from the pop-eyed C-3PO figure (with some minor changes) and I would say that's the best one they've done.

Is it? Then those are bad pictures I shall say.

How many Salacious have they done? They did the one with Oola, the one with Amanaman (I think) and the one with C-3PO, right? That one is the one I was referring to but I guess it doesn't look as good in this pictures.

The have only made three versions of Salacious (not including repaints etc.): the original vintage figure, the figure released with Oola (and later with Amanaman), and the figure released with C-3PO (and later with this boxed set). I believe they redid the paint somewhat on this latest version and changed the legs a bit so he can sit down on the throne better.

Overall, I'm happy, look forward to getting this. For a Hasbro toy it seems quite nice, and while the posed tail can have issues, I like that it's a bit authentic to the real thing. Jabba himself looks great though.

this looks like it would actually be a fun repaint/touch up project.

I actually find the Hasbro Jabba to be looking more accurrate to the ROTJ Jabba in sculpt than Gentle Giant's.

Unfortunately his head is just too big and belly too small. His head should be almost 1/3 his height, not one half.

Oola, on the other hand, pretty much looks just like the actress, Femi Taylor.

Does anyone know where I can find a 3 3/4 general grievous?

My son wants his Obi Wan to kick his but.

If you can wait Anzik he will be out in a few months as part of wave 2 of the Vintage Collection. If not - eBay and the for the Build a Droid ROTS wave Grievous. It's the largest, has 4 arms but has a semi hard time holding lightsabers in some of the hands.

Thanks guys.
HP how much are you asking for the cowardly general? You can PM me if you don't want to broadcast it openly.
Its really no rush, since as soon as I get him he will want me to build an Utapau playset.

Well a Cloud Car has appeared on eBay, I'm gonna make a run after it for pics to show here and at RS. Did any of you guys watch the Sandtroopers Jabba video - it was PAINFULLY bad. That's why I don't do videos. They can go either very well (Pixel Dan from he-man.org .. sometimes) or just really bad. Man I wish that set was ready to go right now though. I want it bad.

Yeah, I am really wanting that Jabba set, despite the bad video. Can't wait for that!

Oola may need a little work, but that can be fixed. The body stocking looks a bit baggy, and the lower part looks much too big, but we will see. Hopefully this will be a surprise and bow before SDCC. Doubt it though. It really is everything I want in a Jabba set up though, highly surprised so much is removable.

I was kind of hoping it was done that way ironically.
