An odd thing happened to me at Wal-Mart this morning.

Now, I like the Prequel Trilogy AND the Original Trilogy. But quite Honestly, I have always segregated the two.

This morning...I was in Wal-Mart and saw the PT figures on the retro-style cards...

And it actually deepened the connection between the two trilogies for me...just a little...but noticeably.

It is almost as if there was some Star Wars stamp of approval given to the PT by putting nthem on the retro cards.

And they look sweet on those cards.

NO. The ROTS "vintage" release says Anakin Skywalker.

Actually, Hasbro said at SDCC that there would be a running change to Darth Vader on that figure. Someone on rebelscum has claimed to have seen that figure today, but no pic to back it up.

I live right on the border with the US (and we're basically just one community with three bridges) so I got them at my "local" Wal-Mart. They had tons when I had to pop over earlier today to pick up my SSC Exc. Palps (another advantage to living on the border)-- and they're at least $3 cheaper each than on the Canadian side.

Thats not bad at all. I hope this wave shows up here over the weekend, plus i am going to hit up Zellers since they have a 30% off all Star Wars from the 3rd-9th, going to see if any big wing Tie Fighters are still left.

Nice-- The closest Zellers is about an hour away and the last time I was there (a few weeks ago) they had a ton of those Tie Fighters as well as X-wings... I was waiting for them to go on clearance. Too bad I don't live closer.

i agree. i am really digging some of the new clone wars figures. very glad they re-issued mace and kit with knee articualtion. and cad bane on the bike is sweet.

Remember that the Boba sticker on the new "vintage" packaged figures is removable. Just take your time and it will come right off.

Mine is coming to my house. The nearest Wal-Mart is WAY out of my way and it only cost $2 to ship it directly to me.

Did they change Anakin's name to Darth Vader on the ROTS card like they said they would?

The figures I saw at Walmart yesterday all said Anakin Skywalker. The Darth Vader running change must be coming in later case assortments.

At Wal-Mart and Target, the vintage figures should be the same price as the Clone Wars and Saga Legends figures (usually about $7.96), while the only place I know of price gouging for them is TRU...

I was at Target today and checked their prices.

The Clone Wars figures were $6.99, the Vintage figures were $7.99 and the Saga Legends figures were $8.97!

picked up 'vintage' anakin, sidious and grievous today at walmart. all three look awesome...the sidious card especially.

Their ship to a store service seems like a great idea but every time I've tried it, you get to the store to pick it up and there is a long line or no one at that counter to help you and it ends up being a pain in the ass to get your item. Shipping is only $2 so that's what I went with. Hope you have a better experience with ship to store than I did.

Looks fantastic. I really need to go back and get some of these to fill in my Jabba display now. I don't have ANY of them.

Is that the POTF Jabba 3D playset backdrop? And if not does anybody know if it would be a good backdrop for this Jabba?
