3,000 is nothing for last day surges. They’ve had projects get over 10,000 on the last day or two. I have little doubt of this funding by the end. It’s not like that year they had 3 separate Haslabs ending within days of each other in early December. That was just a recipe for disaster and the poorly planned Rancor paid the price. They’ve done much better timing these since then.

Sometimes I wonder if they will just internally bump up the numbers at the last minute to get it made. Have the extra 3000 or whatever in the warehouse and sell it later. I remember when the first Haslab Proton Pack came out, a few months down the line, they magically had additional limited stock to sell. Yeah it could be people that cancelled their orders but you'd never really fully know.

They could easily do the same this time. If it comes out well, people start regretting not getting it, they have a "limited" available for purchase and done. All stock cleared. Or just sell it to some online retailers and smaller stores without a max cap and clear it.

The other thing holding me back is the "all plastic" body - something about spending £400 / $500 US on a plastic car doesn't sit right. The lighting effects look great - but tbh, similar kits have been around for a while for Lego, and I'm not seeing much in the pre-release videos from Haslab that are convincing me to spend the cat's inheritance on it...

Shoot, they'd probably get a nice boost in sales if they announced a re-issue of the Plasma Series 1984 Ghostbusters. I entertained the idea of plunking down on this Haslab, but once I saw the figures were sold out, it shot that idea down real quick.

I know the deluxe pack includes the figures, but I'm not interested in the grey suits.

They've got a similar problem with that X-Men 97 Sentinel. All of a sudden I thought it might be cool to jump in on a small collection there, but none of the X Men 97 figures are still available.
They did an interview for the Haslab and it sounds like a reissue of the GB1 figures with updated sculpts might be coming in the future if the Haslab funds.

15:42 minute in the video

8 days to go with only 100 more orders in the last 3 days, doesn't look like this is gonna be funded.

Nope. Even if there's a big surge, I expect that will only bring it to 10,000 or so.

Which is a shame, because you can tell this is something they put a ton of work into and were very proud of.

"I remember my first beer Haslab."

You naysayers are gonna look foolish in about a week.

Guess I better hurry up and decide if I want to get a second one so I can display both looks. I do already have the Blitzway, but it's hard to really enjoy the lights and siren on that thing, and it would be nice to have the proper experience for once. And plus the two Ectos would look cool together...

I’m sticking with the Blitzway for the GB1 looks and the HasLab for GB2.

Need to allocate the funds and space for other things too.

I am new to this "funding thing" ...
Can only the backers buy this product, or can I also order it even after the project is closed?
I believe only backers (before it closes) can buy.

but IIRC, there was a limited number of Haslab items (proton packs?) that the general public was eventually able to buy.

presumably these were spare ones made to cover any defective units with replacements.

Thank you :giggle:

So we are kind of "forced" to pay the full price in advance?

When is this supposed to be released? And what are the experiences with production downgrade with Haslab products?

I have been made a mockery on my tomfoolery. The shame ! !
Now I need to own this item that I wanted to purchase because it will now be put into production.
Curse this unjust world ! !
Eh I saw quite a few seasoned Haslab watchers who just as worried about this. As there's no guarantee there will always be a large enough burst of support at the end.

Anyone pick up/have opinions about the 3 3/4 scale Ghostbusters? I'm on the fence about getting those. I'm a classic '80s Joe collector, but not sure if this itches that scratch or not.
