I've been collecting the 1/6 SW line and was thinking, what else does Sideshow offer that interests me? How can I give them more of my money? :google :D

Well, one thing that's disappoints me about the 1/6 figures is the lack of hand gestures. So what about Sideshow creating a 1/6 accessory line that included multiple pairs of extra hands that we could use with characters that didn't come with a particular hand gesture we desired? This could also be extended to alien/monster creatures that have green hands like Kit Fisto. Left grip hand anyone? :D

I would also love to see an accessory clothing line that included different contemporary outfits that are tailored at a higher grade of quality. For example, I love Sideshow Skinner's sculpt and overall accessories, but his clothes are definitely his weakest link. The fitting of the suit and tie leaves a lot to be desired. I'm sure that the clothing budget has to be quite small for most characters. So an accessory line would allow higher quality clothing to be sold for us, so we can upgrade our favorite character's wardrobe.

Many other items could be included in the accessory line as well. Everyday items like eye glasses (with clear lenses / NOT FOGGY!), wrist watches, cell phones, briefcases, laptops, hardware tools...the list goes on.

So what do you guys think?

First of all, I've been saying this exact thing for years. Second of all, now that SSC is doing Expansion Packs for some figures, the possibilities are opened up that this could become a reality. Third and lastly, if they did do this, people would complain that the hands/clothes/etc. should have come with the figures in the first place, i.e. "We're paying so much for the figures themselves, it's just unfair that their ripping us off by making us buy the accessories seperately ala Jabba, in order to get a "complete" figure."

Sound familiar? :D :lol

This is a great idea! How cool would it be to get additional weapons as used in the Star Wars universe, or get Luke's poncho and Helmet for Endor (no need for a whole new figure). The expansion sets are already a start, but they could do so much more than probe droids or tiny aliens!

Sounds like a great idea. Sideshow seems to be doing some new things recently, so you never know, it might not be to far off.

I like the hand idea, but I've been happy with the clothes that my figures have come with so I wouldn't have need to upgrade there. I've considered taking a force grip hand from a figure I'm not using and see if I can pop it on in place of the soon to come Legacy Connery in place of the gripping hand he comes with.

Anybody remember the deluxe Hasbro Figures from the Star Wars line? They made a few cool things, like the guns that the snowtroopers and hothtroopers use in ESB. I would gladly go for some of this, and as far as clothes, I see some figures that could be done that would be so slight in variation, like the Endor Luke, that it doesn't make sense to make a whole new figure. What about Bespin/Dagobah Luke? Pretty much the same guy, just one is in his undershirt? Right? Lord of the Rings could do some of this stuff too, like rather than make a whole new aragorn for the two towers, just make the chain mail attachments available, or the leather armor pieces that legolas used. And for larger Lord of the Rings stuff, how about Gandalf's Cart, or the statue that holds the shards of narsil....Just some ideas

I'm okay with the Star Wars clothing so far, but the contemporary 'business suits' leave a lot to be desired. The material needs to be thinner and crisper, so we can have clean collar folds and sport jackets that don't look like overcoats.

If Sideshow figures came with good looking contemporary clothing, that would be great. I for one, wouldn't mind paying more per figure if that meant we got quality clothing to match. But some people might not agree, so an accessory line could supplement those who desire higher quality outfits for added realism.

Heck, I got a few more! How about a scale Balin's tomb for LOTR, like the Freddy furnace! I would love to see the elven boat from LOTR too, (gotta have somewhere to put a corpsified Boromir), and Bilbo should come with his barrel and the Birthday sign. I think that Buffy could use a Library set in some form, but a more likely expansion pack would be the weapons case that Giles has in the training room. Angel could have a similar weapons cache in the cabinet they use in that show. How awesome would a couple of Jedi Council chairs be? Now that Sideshow is going to be releasing Jabba, the younger version of me who used to make shoebox dioramas is in full swing!

I would also like to see Sideshow release their own version of bendy hands.

bendy hands suck.

All of them.

They don't hold jack.

And look unnatural.

Similar to TUS's weapons sets, I would like to see Imperial and Rebel blaster weapons sets with blaster rifles, blaster pistols, repeater blasters, etc from all the OT films. They could also do a Republic clonetrooper blaster weapons set for PT fans with myriad blasters from clonetroopers and commanders. Heck, they could even do an Order of the Jedi and Sith Lords lightsaber sets with various lightsabers from various primary and secondary characters.

I would really like to see some complete kit sets such as Bespin Luke (Khev), Hoth Luke, Endor Luke, X-Wing Luke, etc. Sideshow could make troop building clothing sets with for Hoth Rebel soldiers and officers, Death Star troopers and officers, etc. The possibilities are really endless.

THe clothing sets could even come with optional character headsculpts and/or helmeted headsculpts.

Of course these sets wouldn't be cheap, but probably a better price than buying an entire new figure.

This would also present some interesting possibilities for the 12-inch LOTR line as well.

I wholeheartedly agree. I give bendy hands a BIG thumbs down. They're just really useless.

And i agree as well. I much prefer multiple detailed hands, which is what we get with SSC.

My Star Wars figures will share hands where they can. For example, my Han will probably get a gripping left from Anakin, so he can hold the breathing mask.

Well, if not bendy hands, (even though they look good from the pics I have seen), then I still would like to see Sideshow release some hand accessory packs.
