I've met a lot of bands, mainly because I go to a lot of shows at semi small venues.

Paddy Considine, never physically met but talked to a lot. I also sent him a custom figure of him from Dead Man's Shoes. This one may not count but it is my favorite experience with a celebrity.
Similar experience with A.J. Bowen - the Signal, A Horrible Way to Die, You're Next.

Humpy Hump aka Shock G. Cool dude,actually gave him a ride to his hotel and we got blunted on the way.

Ja Rule. Guess he was cool,looked short as **** next to all his bodyguards.

Triple H,Shawn Michaels and Chyna. Caught them coming out of a parking garage during a RAW taping. Chyna was a little *****y. The other too were glad to see us fans.

Met all these people above when I was working security at events and such.

Met Tom Hanks son Colin Hanks too,was in a movie with him a few years ago. They were filming at the house next door to my parents house and needed extras for a couple of days. Me and my sister decided to sign up. Most of the time we just sat around chatting with other actors,lots of off time. My scenes ended up getting axed but my sister made it through and was in the movie. The whole experience was pretty neat.

Oh my girlfriend knows/knew Eminem's grandma lol.

I've been attending cons in my home town for a while now and I'm a sucker and always pay to meet everyone there lol

I've met people like Stan Lee to Hulk Hogan and pretty much the entire cast of the Walking Dead, the list is endless. I always make sure to at least chat with them for the short time I get to meet them during the autograph sessions.

When I was younger I always made sure to attend all signing sessions for any musicians that held events as well. Met quite a few of my favorites during these experiences.

I've never encountered a random celebrity just going about my day though, that would have been awesome. And saved me money lol
