Thx again guys. Everyone's been so thoughtful and caring about me, a guy you all don't even know. I'm actually in a hospital bed now. My pain got really bad today and my doc went ahead and admitted me to get me some relief. Surgery is set for 9:30 CST tomorrow a.m. My anxiety level is maxed out right now and has been all day. This is a really big deal their doing. A Very dangerous and specialized procedure.(at least the compartmental hernia repair part is) the colostomy reversal is pretty cut and dry. But if all goes well my quality of life will be normal again. It's outta my hands now. All I can do is hope and wait and pray.

And here's hoping I wake up to a SDCC Joe Exclusive reveal tomorrow ! I couldn't be that lucky...

Thx JD. I might be dictating to my wife but I will for sure update whenver I'm lucid enough. I'm expecting some pretty intense pain post-op and I'm already opiate tolerant so it takes a lot of meds to get my pain under control. Especially bad surgical type pain. But my doc is really good about that so shouldn't be a prob getting it under control. I'll be in ICU the first couple of days and that's the best place to be for pain control. Their super responsive when you push the button needing anything.

Get them to put you on a dilaudid PCA pump.

Yah I will definitely be on the pump.

.20 mg every 15 minutes on demand

2 mg every 2 hours for breakthrough pain as needed. Maybe even 3 depending on how it's working.

Lke I said I've had to be on so much pain medication since November I have a high opiate tolerance and can take more than the average patient could.
