See, I don't see it like that at all. FB is really a different line altogether. You can't really put a FB in the middle of a painted collection or vica versa.

Its like 6 inch vs. 3 inch in the Hasbro line. You can't really buy a 3 inch hulk because you missed it in the 6 inch line and then display them all together. It would just look silly.

There are a number of people out there that only collect the FB Bowen pieces (regardless of if you think thats dumb). Why should they only have a select few characters if thats the kind of collection they want?

Now, had Bowen or Sideshow put out a set edition size piece...then a few years later released the exact same piece for the exact same price....well that would be dirty business! FB is just a different collector option IMO.

ever heard the saying "those who are late do not get fruitcup"?

just b/c someone's late to the collecting game doesn't mean they should be able to buy re-releases or any repainted versions after the fact...if you want the sculpts that cost the most in the statue world, pony up the cash to get them. don't whine & complain about redo's in an action pose or another museum pose just to get it for a cheaper price

i don't know if i posted this or not, but i have the original and love it. i don't know why they would've change the base though. the base is really what sold me on the original.

They change something in each FB so it isn't exactly like the original.

I mean..if you run out of fruit cups and the late guy goes hungry thats FINE. But if you find another fruit cup in the fridge give the dude a fruit cup! For the love of God...let the boy EAT!

My point is...what does it harm you if someone else gets a statue similar to the one you have? Unless of course Bowen is sneaking into your house, stealing your painted statues...and then FBing them for resale!

well said. as for value, I don't see the value of the original thor or hulk diminishing on ebay because of their faux bronze equivalents.

cause that's what we needed.....a FB bucky FS  not to mention that FB SILVER surfer FS

Well I would say a lot of people wanted a faux bronze Silver Surfer since it sold out in just over two days. Just saying....I think a lot of you guys are just pissed because you feel like your statues aren't going to be sold for more than you paid now. Is that why you really collect these things? If so, I would recommend owning real estate property instead (and this is coming from somebody who has not purchased one FB product, although Venom will change that).

I ordered one thanks to a friend. if you are a collector's club member you receive a 20% discount.

I am puzzled by your remark. either $60 is nothing to you or you feel the statue is not "worth" $240?

to each his own I guess, but I agree discussions on "worth" are silly. most people in this world would think we are all nuts for shelling out the kind of money we do for our toys.

How much did the original statue retail for? I think the price tag hits so hard because it is significantly more for less detail on the base and a different paint job.

Gonna have to agree with this. To each his own.
