THE BIG 9

THAT IS ALL!!!!!!

Those 9 are all you need although to expand the roster beyond that I'd include Quicksilver, Ms. Marvel, Wonder Man, Black Widow and Falcon. They define who the Avengers are to me. Anyone beyond those 14 are just extra. Maybe Hercules, he's a pretty early member.

No Hulk. No Wolverine. And as much as he's my undisputed favorite character, Spider-Man isn't necessary either.
