Thanks I think the mask is slightly uneven but to be honest with the pose being what it is its not noticible. Had a look and the paint apps look good eyes are painted well so am very happy

Nice one Ant you got it. Such a nice piece huh :)

And what you mentioned about the base. That thing is durn heavy. It's funny because I expected it to be really light when I 1st picked it up. I guess it needs to be that way with how Hawkeye is posed leaning forward.

Congrats again, I love this piece. I'm glad you like it to.

So it's just Andy now. Last as always 😜

Okay guys, unboxed the Hawkeye PF this evening and am happy to report hat everything has arrived in perfect condition and is such a beautiful sculpt. It has arrived just as described from the pictures shown on the SSC website and considering there were quite a few QC issues early on, I'm happy to have a great piece with fantastic paint app. The Mask was slightly on the unlevel side as so many others are. Some have chose to leave theirs in fear of damaging it but as a perfectionist I wanted to try and level out each side so that they were at least 95% level. Instead of using the hairdryer technique I have moulded a ball of blu-tac (the size of a pea) and fit in inside the right hand side, once I've placed it in between the head and mask this will open up the side of the mask which you need to come out more and it works like a treat! Massive thanks to Lee at CollectiblesDirect for such a great service and immaculate packaging as ever. Top Seller!!

Great shots there Andy. Looking good, that's a good idea with the blu-tac. One more statue to put in storage then :lol

Many thanks Steve :hi5: Yea, it was really late when i took those shots so hence the light up base. Gonna post some daylight pics i took this morning before i went to work. Yea, your right. Soon as i get home i'll put him back into his box and then the shipper and pile him up ontop of the others like i always do. Had to move the Iron Man MKII bust off his base so i could take those Hawkeye pics so at least Iron Man will be happy he's going back on display!

The Blu-tac idea came to me as i was looking for something that resembled a putty like texture and something that would allow me to fit it into the gap between mask and head to push the mask out more. Worked a treat as i didnt wanna put the hairdryer on while my daughter was asleep :rotfl That comparison shot is with the head Ant recieved. I hope he'll give my fix a try at least as i think it will look 100 times better, then again, not everyone has OCD like me :slap

I was saying in my SYS thread, when i opened up this box and set him up, i couldnt help but think that the sculpt was almost on par with some of SSC old school Marvel Comic PF's such as the Captain America and Thor PF's. This made me really happy as it now completes my Comic Avengers Line-Up :yess:
