I do like the Besta's. My problem is that my Thor PF wont fit in one with the glass doors height wise & I think the Batman & Superman PF's won't either

The guy who mods the Pax done a great job but have you accounted for the price and hassle of changing the doors to perspex/glass? If you have an open front would be a lot easier, obviously.

Yeah I still haven't made up my mind what I'm going to do yet. While my collection is still quite small I'm going to let it grow before deciding what to do. Right now I'm thinking of getting a Pax & some Besta's
Decided to go for one of these in the end...
The only piece i have on the way which won't fit is the Hulk Maquette which should be fine on top. Oh and my Predator CM which can stay on his table, would love to have him behind glass though. After looking into the Pax the doors would end up too much hassle and expense especially when i don't really need that much space.

The Hulk Maquette does fit in a Besta, angled, but he fits!

Well, I just received my Hawkeye and it arrived broken at the waist along with several paint chips on the base and the deformed mask. I already called SSC and sent pics in, now to see how long before I can get a replacement.

Wasn't a wait list (returned item) conversion was it?
I don't think it was, but it may be. It is a regular version that I ordered last week. The base is pretty jacked up, several paint chips, even one where the foot rest. That kind of makes me think that it may have been a return. I just hope they can get me a decent replacement.
I think most all the bases had some sort of piant imperfections. Mine looks like it didn't get long enough to dry or something. Probably the worst base I have seen for a PF.

It looks like it wasn't primed properly. The paint just flaked right off of it. The sad thing is this is not the first time that this has been seen from SSC on their pieces. I had the same thing happen on the neck ring on my Wolf Predator life size bust.

Well, I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the one I received today. On top of all this, I can't upload any F&@$%# pictures on the sideshow site. They either say they are too large or the wrong format and they are jpeg files. At this point, I just want a refund.

Well, I am extremely disappointed in the quality of the one I received today.
Really sorry to hear this Aaron. I recieved mine last month and have to say that the paint job i had on mine was pretty darn good despite the number of bad ones we've seen so far on this thread. To be honest, after reading about so many cases of collectors recieving badly painted Hawkeyes or damaged bases and arrows, i had said to myself that the only way i was going to keep mine was if it was in acceptable condition - which it was. Otherwise i would have returned it for a refund but not have purchased a relpacement and just left it alone.
The paintwork on yours looks very sloppy to say the least and i certainly would ask for a refund/replacement...still cant believe that SSC allow these pieces to ship in such poor conditions. The QC sticker on each box is surely supposed to mean something - otherwise for all we know the head of QC at SSC might aswell be a Chimpanzee

You mean the defective Hawkeye PF's that were returned to Sideshow were then sent out to those on the WaitList? Why would they do this? Surely no collector would accept this statue in such poor condition...

Seemed like alot of those late conversions were likely returns, including one that had a box that had smiley faces drawn in it.
I think alot of people do accept the statue in that condition, or at least take the small payoff offer.

Really? Why would they after paying good money for it? As for small payoff, i dont think anyone would accept a measly $45 credit off a new in stock item or $35 credit refunded back to their credit card! I personally dont think anyone would accept a piece in the condition shown above or anything similiar to that. Thats just insane and playing into SSC's hands

I'm actually selling mine. Decided I don't need it but it is a great piece if you haven't got any QC issues.
