That's great news. This is possibly the only series I've ever watched where I'm not worried about the quality declining over time. However many seasons they need to tell this story, I'm confident that they'll all be excellent.

I hope you are right, but the quality of the books dropped significantly once GRRM reached books 4 and 5, which is what I imagine will be covered in tv seasons 5 and 6.

I may be alone on this but...

I think I migh actually miss the little ****.

Do you think it'll be this early into the season? I thought they would drag that out a little further in, either way I might actually miss this villain since Gleason does an outstanding job playing a little ********.

I too am surprised by how soon this is happening, but I cant imagine the Wedding lasting more than 2 episodes. My bet is the Wedding will happen towards the end of the next episode and Joffrey's death in the following one. There are still things that need to go down first, like the Viper/Mountain duel.

Unless HBO is teasing us with images that arent really from the next episode, which they have done before.

I think it will happen in the next episode being that Martin himself wrote episode 2. Also, the mountain/viper duel is at the end of book three during Tyrions trial. Tyrion chooses trial by combat and he picks the Viper and Cersie picks The Mountain.

Yeah, the Purple Wedding is confirmed for episode 2. Joffrey's death will most likely be the last scene of the episode. In the preview, we see Joffrey demanding that Tyrion kneel, which in the book is pretty much the last thing Joffrey does before he dies.

Your right! For some reason I forgot the impetus for the fight, but yes it comes after

The Red Viper vs. The Mountain will be in episode 8. This is the last episode Pedro Pascal is listed for on IMDB, and we've already been told that episode 9 will be the Battle at the Wall. The duel cannot be in episode 10 due to everything else that is scheduled to happen that episode.

Curse my lack of willpower when it comes to avoiding spoiler tags..........

That sucks. These are not spoilers I would want to read.

Yeah, after this season I am not watching any trailers other than the first or reading anything in this thread until the fifth season comes out. :lol

But since I've already pretty much spoiled this season for myself, I must know one thing...

Please tell me Oberyn doesn't die in the duel with The Mountain.

The answer to your question is in the spoiler tag below.

Oberyn dies. In the book, the Mountain crushes Oberyn's skull because that's how he killed Elia, Oberyn's sister. In the show, it seems that they've changed it to her being cut in half. So perhaps the Mountain will cut Oberyn in half instead?

:lol You left out a detail.

After Season 1 I binge read all the books, so while I know what will happen, I sometimes forget when it happens.

I stayed away from Walking Dead spoilers, which was hard, but it can be done.
