Too late, I read the wiki page.
What was the left out detail? I read some comic and in the comic Gregor says he raped Elia after he killed her. Doesn't say this in any of the wiki pages though. When you said he left out a detail I was afraid the detail was that The Mountain rapes Oberyn after killing him or something. ...
From what I've read it seems Oberyn completely dominates him and is clearly the better fighter, but he let's his thirst for vengeance and hearing a confession get the best of him. If it plays out that way I'll be satisfied.
