so, he's back as a new character? Spill it.......lol

I said who it was a few pages back.
Melisandre thought Stannis was "The Chosen One" but she "presumed".
When Jon is resurrected he'll be as powerful if not more powerful than the Knights King.

Sounds good, but none of this is in the books, right? I thought we were caught up with this last season.

he's going to play Euron Greyjoy
I just read his wikipedia description, and that would certainly be casting to type.

Euron is a wildly unpredictable man, known for his delight in playing vicious mind games and waging psychological warfare on anyone around him. He is hated by his brothers for this reason. He is a skilled warrior and manipulator and is cunning, shrewd and ruthless.

The producers have sat down with Martin and been told what the "end game" is for the characters and how it's all wrapped up.
However the producers are not obligated to take the same path as the author as we've seen on the show, perhaps it might even be someone else sitting on the throne at the end of the novels. So far the producers have made fairly good choices in who to omit and play up on the show.

I haven't read the books, but I was under the impression that Euron was fairly young. Ian McShane certainly is not.

Well he's Theon's uncle, right? Stands to reason he would be younger than his dad--otherwise Euron would be king I guess--but I wouldn't expect him to be too young.

thanks. tried to give you a rep - said I had to spread some love around. Don't recall rep-ing you recently weird....

Holy crap, McShane and Max? Oh baby.

Having not read the books I really hope we are introduced to some great new characters next season to help fill in the holes left by our departed characters from past seasons. It's seems like characters that we learn to like, like Oberyn, are used for a shock death factor and others like the Sand Snakes, are quite forgettable.
