Starring Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine, Ben Foster, and Gil Birmingham. Directed by David Mackenzie and written by Taylor Sheridan.

Anyone seen this, yet? By far the best film of 2016, in my opinion. The performances, the writing, the plot; it was an incredible movie.

I want to see this so bad and no where around me are they carrying it! I even posted in the hate thread about it! :lol

I saw this a week and a half ago and yes, it is the best film I have seen this year. Like you said, the writing, directing, acting, etc. A simple story, yet so complex.

I'm not posting any specifics, but I'll post these feelings in spoiler tags for those who haven't seen it.

The thing that got me the most was how funny it was. They're not cracking jokes the whole time, but there was a ton of humor and it felt real and it helped define the characters and their relationships, and, even, the world they inhabited, and, to a degree, it forms this feeling of security. It makes you forget that these four, who you care so much about, are slowly headed on a collision course, and then everything comes to a head and it hits you like a goddamn freight train.

Completely agree with your assessment.
