I'd wait for the Batman Returns figure. It'll be cheaper than $300, and it might have a separate Bruce Wayne sculpt.

But, between Batman and Iron Monger, I'd take Batman every time. Not much of an Iron Man guy, myself.

I would also wait for Batman Returns, which is what I'm planning on doing.

I also think getting into Iron Man is a dangerous game lol Far too many figures being made in this line and hard to say no because they do look brilliant. I think focusing on Avengers 2 would be the best way to go seeing as many of the first Avengers figures are a lot more expensive now than they were when released. I have no doubt Hot Toys will release new figures of all the Avengers again for the second film. Plus Hulkbuster is a very big possibility and that's going to be an expensive one.

Why limit yourself to just a specific line? And from what you've already said, I think you're just looking for someone to validate what you've already said: that you buy figures that interest you. Well, if that's what you want, I say get whatever you want and can afford, don't worry about what everyone else thinks you should get. They don't live in your house, so it doesn't matter what me or anyone else has to say about your collection. It's your money, spend it however you want.

Like others have said... Returns fig is coming, so why spend $500 when you can get one from the sequel that looks almost EXACTLY like the previous version, with slight mods. I missed out on the first one, but I'll probably be getting the second (at half the cost). Again, though, it's your money. If you feel it's worth spending $500 to get the first one... do so. But I guess it also boils down to WHY are you collecting? As an investment? or for your enjoyment? Personally, I don't feel eBay prices really reflect decent prices for investment purposes. Most of those prices are put out there by speculators hoping someone will be dumb enough to fork over the bucks, and, let's face it, there are plenty of stupid people on this planet (with apparently plenty of disposable income). If this "hobby" is more for enjoyment, worry less about getting EVERY figure, and more about the ones that are truly IMPORTANT TO YOU. I like to get characters that I find interesting (I collect, kitbash, and customize characters from movies, comics, and misc genres. I like movie/TV figures that actually look like the actor/actress per se, and although I have '66 Batman & Robin, I would also have really liked unmasked versions of Adam West & Burt Ward. I have RDJr as Tony Stark, but I don't have one single Iron Man figure, because to me it's just another &$%9ing robot-like figure which I find personally boring.) The point is, find what your passionate about, and really... just have fun.

I meant is the Iron Monger worth The $500.... the Dx09 is like $300 , Now I'm not collecting to invest, I'm doing it for the enjoyment and the love of action Figures. ....I'm going to wait for the Batamn Returns, and see if it's worth the wait, or maybe the prices for x09 would go down.

lol I'm just planning to get the MkI Mk3 War Machine, and a hopefully future Hulk buster and the whiplash mkI and 2. Damn you Iron Man! lol
