Help my display

hey everyone
I have two detolfs and my collection is getting bigger and bigger.
which makes deciding which shelf to display which figure on and with which other figures makes life difficult ha ha.
so i wanted to hear some of your suggestions.
so as most of us know a detolf has four shelves, i have two detolfs totaling 8 shelves.
i currently have 15 figures and another 3 pre-ordered...
i have:
Blade
Iron Man mk3 bd
wolverine
batman dx02
AVP alien warrior
predator 1
whiplash
blackwidow
custom Obama
custom tony stark in casual clothes (i have the jericho suit but did not really like it)
tony stark mech test
iron man mark 3
iron man mark 2
iron man mark 1
terminator t800 Arnold
(i am also working on a custom john McClain from die hard 4)
I have war-machine, mark 4 and mark 6 pre-ordered.
any suggestions for making these fit and displaying them to make them look awesome together would be greatly appreciated

I'd display all of the Iron Man armours on the same two shelves, along with Tony Stark. It'd be like he's taking a walk through the Hall of Armor. Another shelf could be Marvel movie-realted figures, like Blade, Wolverine, Black Widow and Whiplash.

I'd then divide the remaining figures into the other Detolf, such as combining the sci-fi movie figures like the Alien, Predator and Terminator onto one shelf and so on. Ideally, you'd have one shelf free in each cabinet for future purchases.

i thought about doing alien, predator and terminator on one shelf but the alien is so big that they won't all fit.

I'd get another detolf. So many people cram theirs full of the figures, taking what should be museum quality figures, and making them look like grandma's chachki-stuffed curio cabinet. Spacing out the figures better will make them look less like a highrise elevator during morning rush and more like a high-end collection. You shouldn't have to look all around the detolf to get a glimps of the figures stuffed in the back.

If you don't mind dusting every now and then, you can use wall shelf units. They are super cheap at your local home improvement store and showcase 1/6 very well. I keep a ton of figures on display like this. I have four glass cases as well and two of those DID lighted cases.

i agree with you but i don't really have enough room in my bedroom right now to get another detolf
believe me though, i will be getting another detolf once i clean out the room a little but right now im just looking for a temporary fix.

Select your faves and box up the rest. When the time comes, you'll have fun reopening the boxes, getting them geared up and then making a better display. In the meantime, you'll be able to really enjoy your favorite pieces as there'll be nothing distracting you from them.

One tip I can suggest is posing your figures on Angles. You can fit more on each shelf that way without killing visability. While it would be nice to have two figures per shelf, those days are long gone for me as I just don't have the room.

Also, female figures in the front as they have smaller proportions and don't block the bigger figures in the back.

I firmly believe 5 figures per shelf can look good if you take the time to pose them properly.

a little off subject but does anybody know how tall those 1/6 avatar's will be when they are released? im thinking that they won't fit into the detolf...

I'm betting they will. You'll just need to take out a shelf is all.

Sounds like a nice display. Though, I'd put the Predator in the case over Tony.
